Not sure what to make of this yet after only a few months. Good side is that it feels rigid and long-lasting and it does cut well when it works.
The down side is that it clogs incredibly easily, and it’s difficult to clean the blades fully, which exacerbates the clogging. This ends up causes issues where you frequently find the motor will not spin the blades and you have to continuously use small tools on the blades to clean them. If you oil them every week or two then it collects even more easily…which means you have to blast the blades or soak the blades with moving water…which washes away the oil, causing a circular issue. You’re doing all of this despite dumping it after each use. The motor also doesn’t turn when plugged in or without blade attachments which can confuse and make troubleshooting more difficult.

Full charge right out of the box, so I used it right away. What’s not to like? It shaves faster, closer and is easier to clean than Pitbull. Costs half as much, works 5 times better. Highly recommend!!

I usually don’t write to many reviews but I’m making an exception on this shaver because I think it’s a very good product,
I purchased this shaver a little over 2 years ago and it is still doing very well, I have used this shaver every other day over those 2 years, and I’m impressed that it’s still working almost( I say almost because you have to expect some diminishment for wear and tear ) as good as day one, the battery still holds a good charge and the blades still cut as they should, at first I only charged once a month now I get 3 weeks before recharging again, the blades still cut good but now they pull the hair a little so I’m thinking of replacing the head, other than that a very good shaver and I recommend it to be a good purchase,

What I like about the Remington XR7000 is the great way it shaves and the company’s superb customer service. I had used it only four times when it stopped running. I called their customer service and the shaver was running like new within two minutes.

I was a little unsure of getting this product, but at $60 it was a steal. I was also very pleasantly surprised by its efficient and close shave. This is the first rotary shaver designed for skull shaving that I have owned as I have always used a foil shaver before. Although my Braun foil shavers, currently Series 7, give a far closer and longer lasting shave, this product is very quick and conveniently shaped to give a very reasonably close shave of a skull.
The couple of caveats I mentioned were; Firstly the razor sometimes wont start up when pushing the on button. Usually after cleaning and replacing the shave heads. The only way to get it reset is to plug in and take out the power cord briefly and start the motors spinning while reseating the shaveheads. Secondly; which is more of a nitpick than anything, the cleaning of the shavehead is a bit fiddly with the razored hair lodging under the frame, and after lubrication, gets clogged up and sticky, which makes removing it even with running water a little challenging, but a little perseverance and deep brushing can generally clean it out satisfactorily.
I think 5 blades may be overkill as the center cutter seems to do the most work and the outer blades are a little redundant. I will probably try a 4 head shaver if I replace this with another dedicated head shaver or just mover to a Braun Series 9, for an all over shaver.
I would just like to add that the battery life seems to be a little short for the amount of charge as one charge only lasts 4 skull shaves, before a recharge is required. I haven’t timed my shaving, but I am sure they are no longer than 2 1/2 minutes. So I would guess from a full charge the battery duration is about 10 minutes, which seems a little short for a Lithium Ion battery.
Overall, a good purchase and good value for money with relatively inexpensive replacement heads from a renown manufacturer for a quick and reasonably close skull shave.
