Oh My Goodness! I’m in love! I have naturally thick, curly and crazy hair and wanted a curling iron that would #1 work, #2 be efficient, and #3 be easy to use! I did my research and found this one, and it did not disappoint! My curls feel soft and natural (Not dry like when using some irons), it heated super quick and its actually kind of cute (I was worried about it being pink because thats not really my thing, but its more of a soft mauve-pink). I feel it gives you a lot of control and options for how you want your curls to look.

The only thing I would suggest is when using the wand to hold it closer to the base of the handle. This baby gets really, really hot and just placing my index finger over the hole with the screw on the back of the handle near the barrel had enough heat to give me a little burn. Nothing terrible, but just good to be aware of.

As usual, amazon shipped the product in record timing! = One happy online shopper 😀

I hate spending a lot on hair tools but I love great results. This wand is a great value for the money. I hold each curl on for about 10 seconds and done. Super fast curls.

Let me preface this with saying that I really don’t normally curl my hair. I have in the past, but it’s not my go-to style and I only have a 1″ Conair wand to compare this one too, so I can’t really speak to how this holds up against other wider barrel wands or fancier wands.

For the price, I’d say this is a decent choice. It gets HOT (the default setting is more than hot enough to curl my straight hair), heats up fast and creates loose curls in a matter of seconds. It’s easy to use, it’s cute and it’s good for more casual hairstyles.

There are a few things that aren’t great, but again, you can’t really expect a $25 curling wand to knock it out of the park. Side note: Not sure how many of these issues are because of the wand and how many are because of the styling products I use, but I tend to buy higher end serums so I think it’s more likely to be the want. The beautiful loose curls (beach wave-like) you get at first only last a few hours at most – my hair doesn’t go completely flat, but by the end of the day I have really gentle waves that look decent enough that I don’t feel ashamed at work, but definitely don’t look styled (and I use strong hold hairspray!). Also, my hair frizzes up fast – it usually takes a few hours for the frizziness to hit (around when the curls fall out), so that could be my hair/other products rather than the wand.

Overall, I’d say that I’m glad I got this – it’s a good “entry level” wand for curling novices like myself. If you’re looking to upgrade your current wand, I’d probably get something a bit higher end.

This is an amazing curler for such an awesome price. My co-worker always has wonderful curled hair and she mentioned she bought hers for about $400 from Sephora, I couldn’t imagine spending that kind of money. I’m so glad I found this one, for the price I couldn’t pass it by. I love how hot it gets, because my hair is pretty thick and needs higher temperatures to get the full curl. Considering my hair is pretty long I found the thickness of the wand still great. I thought it was going to be too skinny with my thick and long hair but it gets the job done so well. I don’t feel like I settled because I couldn’t afford an expensive one.

This was my first experience with a curling wand. I originally wanted to try this out because I had my hair done a few times recently where the stylist used a wand instead of a curling iron and it seemed to give me better looking waves or curls depending on the look I was going for that event. At first I was extremely frustrated because none of my curls turned out right or half of the hair would be curled with the other half wavey to straight. However, that is not the wands fault, but the inexperienced user’s fault. If this is your first time using one of these devices please, please, please go to youtube and watch some videos on how to properly handle a curling wand. Then practice, practice, practice before you actually need to have your hair curled for some reason. It takes a good bit of coordination to hold the wand right, wrap the hair to the right tightness for the curl you want, slid the hair out, all without burning yourself. If you don’t realize it yet, you have to hold your own hair, there is no clamp like a curing iron or some wands that have a clip to hold just the end. Aside from that I’ll talk about the item itself:

The curling wand is pretty light weight and nothing was defective about it when I recieved it. The ability to dial in a temperature is very nice since different hair textures often need a different amount of heat. The wand got hot pretty fast, but it wasn’t obvious to me exactly when it was at temperature. It has a nice long cord and the part that connects to the wand itself moves so you shouldn’t get tangled. I removed a star because once I figured out how to handle the wand, I still had issues where my fingers would mess with the buttons because of where they are on the handle. I’m not sure how this could be improved, but I found myself turning it off or changing the temperature without realizing it. There are little feet for it to sit on without burning the surface beneath or rolling around, but I found that it was very peculiar in how I had to set it down for it to not just roll over or for weight of the cord to pull it around so the feet weren’t all that helpful. The heating element is tapered so the end closer to the handle is larger in diameter than the end, which is nice since it give versatility in the diameter of the curls and assists in those curls that are looser near the root and tighter by the end of the hair.

The included “heat resistant” glove. I’m unsure if the included glove is really heat resistant of basically just a cheap knit glove to have some kind of barrier for your hand. I know I watched the people on youtube using this wand without a glove, which I tried, but wouldn’t recommend for a beginner until you know where to put your fingers or you will burn yourself. I have really small hands so the glove was way too big which caused some fumbling, but eventually I made it work. Despite the glove, my fingers still got pretty hot sitting next to the wand and luckily I was doing loose curls that didn’t need a lot of heat. I felt more like the glove just stopped me from actually touching the heating element rather than actually prevent heat from reaching my hand. I don’t curl my hair often, so I won’t be investing in a better glove since I can make this work for my own purposes, but if you plan to use this often and are worried about burning your finger tips not using a glove, then you might want to find a better one.

Overall, I do really enjoy curling my hair with this wand now that I have watched videos and practiced. I like that there is a lot of versatility in the kinds of waves and curls I can get.

This wand is good quality and a great value as well! This is my second one and my last one survived 6 years of frequent use. The tapered wand creates full beachy curls.

I CANNOT figure out a clamp curler for the life of me. So I purchased this one and am pleased with the results. It’s easy to use and can get really hot. You can make different curls depending on how you wrap it, and of course I love the pink color. I personally don’t use a glove.
