The curlers heat quickly and evenly. I bought claw-stype clips separately. They hold better in my shorter length hair than the provided J clips. Couldn’t be happier with the ease of use, quality and end result. Can’t beat the price! I bought 2 sets to have 10 rollers of each size to work with my changing hair length and style.

My sister told me about these. I am so happy that I got them. They are perfect for travel, heat up in 90 seconds and give a long lasting gorgeous curl. I have shoulder length hair and I Iike big hair and believe it or not, these eight curlers do the job beautifully. Great for touch ups too.

Used these for a trip to London. Although I definitely ordered a new set, the first set I got was obviously used; there was hair down in the bottom of the plastic case, and the whole thing just looked “tired.” I returned those very easily and got an actual new set on the second try. Because there aren’t a lot of curlers in the set, I knew I’d need to do my hair in sections, but I was okay with that because this took up so little space in my suitcase. What I wasn’t prepared for was how hard it was to keep the rollers in my hair with the clips provided – I got a bit better by the end of two weeks, but it was still irritating to have to re-roll each curler two or three times. I took off one star for getting a nasty used set on the first try and one star for the clips.

I bought 2. One for me, one for my sister. They are so compact you can fit them in any overnight bag or suitcase.
I’ve used them on clients in the salon for a quick curl. They heat quickly. Pro tip: use the clips they come with in the front to avoid “bends” in the hair but get clips like the ones in the pic for even easier holding.

There are only 5 large and 5 medium curlers, with one clamp for each. The interior of the roller is smooth and slides out of my hand at least once when using. It would slide right off of the lock of hair if I didn’t use a little hair spray on it before curling. The plastic container seems like it would melt, but it doesn’t. You close the plastic top and wait until it is hot (no color-changing dot to clue you in). It’s a good thing I only use two rollers, because I use two clamps for each roller to keep them in. The white edges stay cool and you are supposed to hold it by the edges, a little hard to do, but no real burns. They advise you not to wrap the cord around the container so save your twisty tie or use a pony-tail tie like I do.

Like more Amazon shoppers I read the reviews. People complained that this set didn’t heat up. It does and if you have it heating for over 5 minutes, the rollers may be a bit too hot for your finger tips – easily remedied with a heat glove. The number of curlers and their size is perfect for my shoulder length hair. I haven’t used my full size set since I got this for my trip I’m liking this set so much!

I travel a lot for work and still use hot rollers like my 1990s adolescent self (!) to add some daily body & shaping to my very fine straight shoulder length hair. This perfect little US plug set takes up minimal room in a carry-on bag and is importantly compatible with UK and European voltages on a regular plug adaptor. (I unfortunately fried a fabulous & costly set of Paul Mitchell neuro rollers in a London hotel once and was so sad….) The best features are the quick heat up and soft flocking of the rollers. The J pins do not bother me & take up no space compared to clips that sometimes leave weird dents in one’s hair. This set was a new travel replacement for a similarly-inexpensive plastic Conair set (hard plastic blue/green rollers in a black case), and there is no comparison about how much nicer these Remington ones are.

I like only 10 curlers, I have shoulder length hair and don’t want real curly just some body. I have one I bought 22yrs ago just the same model and style. Don’t mess with a good thing. The longer clips work better than the old model. The only thing I don’t like are the color coded clips, there isn’t enough difference in color to know which size to use. Very pale colors. The price was great.
