    Vacuum works well – it’s a must feature! Well designed and easy to use. I used to have a Phillips with a vacuum and this model is as good and easier to clean.
    Price is also 5 stars.

    I am a simple man – my only use for a trimmer is to plane down my face to 3mm once every couple of weeks.

    I’ve had the Remington 4045 for about 7 years until its battery died, and it’d done a wonderful job. I decided to go for something more modern, ran into the “vaccuum” gimmick, and gave it a shot.

    As far as the vaccuum goes, I think 98% of my stubble stayed inside the trimmer. This is phenomenal. It is also very easy to clean.

    However, the adjustable comb is too soft on the “adjustable” face, and too thick on the opposed face. This caused the end result to be somewhat uneven, and also had me do manual adjustments of the mustache part directly under the nose because the blades wouldn’t reach there.

    As for construction, I assume the filter of the vaccuum side will eventually break down. The trimmer is unusable without it (unless you like your stubble sprayed around the room like a glitter bomb) and I could not find a replacement to buy separately. This is a shame.

    This is the perfect shaver for beards as it was a vaccum in it and a little container to catch the trimmings so they don’t go everywhere. Must have

    I own an much older philips version of this and felt it was getting dull, looking around i came across this model from Remington that appeared to be exactly the same and MUCH improved. This was also on sale at a deep discount so it was worth a try. as it turned out i was an excellent unit, trims easily and evenly, and since it’s a bigger unit than your standard beard trimmer it cuts more hair with each stroke which makes trimming your beard very fast and easy, the only thing you will need to do is break out the scissors to trim under your nose as the larger size makes it difficult. I’m fine with that as it’s not an inconvenience. The vacuum feature actually works! and the catcher is made of a fine mesh so it keeps the shaver clean. And the vacuum feature actually works, i’d say it captures about 95% of the hair cut from your beard. it’s an excellent trimmer, i’m very glad i bought it.

    Vacuum trimmers are essential for bedridden people, but there aren’t many that are up to the job. The awesome Remington MB6550 served me well for many years. This latest model is even better because the battery lasts longer and cleaning is easier.

    This is fantastic. Over the years I have gone through many different kinds and even a few other brands that offer a vacuum function but this one is by far the best. The edger works great. Since the handle is longer you can be precise and get a good grip when lining up. The trimmer gets my beard even on any length. It’s wide so I can be quick. The attachments are also very sturdy. That was my concern with a competitor product when you had to change out the trimmers or tried to adjust the settings, it was very flimsy. This one locks on very tight and even the plastic itself is durable. The battery life is fantastic as well. I charge it maybe every two weeks or more and I use it just about every day. Easy to empty out, and it grabs a good amount of the hair so it’s not a big mess to clean ups. I recently lost one of the attachments while transporting it so I sent an email to the company asking about getting a new one. They were able to replace it promptly with no charge I had it delivered in less than a week. I absolutely recommend getting this

    After the blade assembly on my old Norelco series 7000 vacuum beard trimmer failed recently — the second such event in the last year — I decided it was time for a new vacuum trimmer.

    As I have said before, once you try a vacuum beard trimmer, you will not want a trimmer without this useful feature that keeps cut hairs out of the sink!

    It seems that Norelco no longer makes the 7000 trimmer — in fact, some pirate was asking $250 for a Series 7200 model recently — and the prime contenders seemed to be a Panasonic, a Bell & Howell, and this Remington.

    As much as I like Panasonic products, that model lacked an internal rechargeable battery. Like Polaroid, the Bell & Howell name no longer denotes a long-time manufacturer of reliable products.

    So that left the Remington, “Amazon’s Choice,” which was getting decent reviews and had the features I was looking for — except one.

    That is, this trimmer doesn’t do “fine stubble.” It will cut as close as 2mm, but not down to 0.5mm like the Norelco.

    This is a bummer to me, but otherwise the trimmer delivers, with what appears to be a durable, well-made design at a reasonable price.

    The parts click together with precision, and the vacuum feature works well (remember that you have to hold the trimmer vertically, with the cutting head on top).

    I don’t find the comb flimsy, as another reviewer claimed, and the waterproof on/off button resists being turned on accidentally, when the trimmer is packed in a bag, for example.

    So overall this is probably the best vacuum beard trimmer available at this time, but I hope some manufacturer will introduce a new model that trims finer.

    PROS:

    * Adjustable beard length settings.
    * Comes with additional fine detailing blade.
    * Vacuum feature keeps sink free of hairs.
    * Easy-to-clean vacuum compartment.
    * Good rechargeable battery life.

    CONS:

    * Only cuts as fine as 2mm.

    This cordless beard trimmer is an unusual product because I’ve found that most of the reviews here, good or bad, are accurate.

    The trimmer seems sturdy yet is sufficiently light weight for comfortable use, with or without the power cord.

    Another plus for the trimmer is that it easy to use (though edging is a bit challenging). The vacuum is powerful which makes for easy clean-up.

    Unfortunately, the trimmer has some major design flaws:

    1. The beard guide is flimsy and easy to break. Also, because the guide is flimsy it’s challenging to get an even beard length. The key is to use a light touch.

    2. The trimmer guide is adjustable. Sadly, at least for me, I couldn’t read the setting numbers without a magnifying glass.

    3. While the vacuum works very well, the collection container is tiny. In my case, I have to empty the container at least twice per session. To clean the container is annoying because you have to first remove the beard guide. Given how flimsy the guide is, I suspect that this routine will shorten the life of the guide.

    Not long ago, a number of well-known brands made vacuum trimmers. Today, not so much. In my opinion, there are no high-quality vacuum trimmers being made. Despite its many flaws, I still had enough confidence to buy the Remington instead of one of the others. After a couple of uses, I’m reasonably content and find the trimmer to be of adequate value.

    I didn’t have high expectations to start, even after reading the reviews. I am using this trimmer in my body hair removal studio for pre treatment trims and it has made a huge improvement in my clean up.

    I used to use a regular beard trimmer, followed by a dust buster, and often then followed by a full-size vacuum to clean up. But now this little trimmer/vacuum cleans up 95% of the hair.

    It has a couple more steps than a standard trimmer to clean it after each use, hit for me it’s worth it. The guard is adjustable and removable.

    My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a stand to sit or charge in. It’s about double the size of my old trimmer which did have a stand, so it looks a little unkept just laying on the counter.

    This shaver works very smoothly. The cut that it gives is a very clean cut. The adjustable head works great for beards and mustaches. The Noise level is quite, and the power to cut is great.
    Great value for the money. C.A.A.

    not comfortable, vacuum working on half power (half hairs on the ground)
