I absolutely love this curling wand. I bought my first one (a diff brand) about 8 years ago and the heating element was going out. I debated between two different styles on Amazon and finally chose this one. I am so glad I did. I just love it! I love the different wand options and how quick it heats up. My curls held for days in my coarse hair. This wand is a great value as I wanted something nice but I do not have to have a popular name brand that costs twice as much. I have never found that those expensive popular name brand hair tools do any better than the more reasonable priced ones for my hair. Trust me, I have tried them all! I would highly recommend this wand. You wont regret it!

Heats up quickly and evenly. There are 2 heat settings, with auto shut off (so far, untested), and I find I only need the low setting and only need to hold the set for 3-5 seconds for good results (I am using it for very small hair sections). I’ve only used one of the barrels (the smallest, which I do not understand with this and all other brands, is tapered, while the other barrels are all even), and in truth, I didn’t know which size I needed to align with my existing natural curls (I have a section of hair that doesn’t hold its curl pattern, so I wanted to start using an iron for that, as well as day-2 touch ups).

The last time I used a curling iron was probably my feathered early 80s hair-do, so I was surprised that most modern irons don’t have the clamp bar anymore, which I would have preferred. That bar avoided the awfully looking, dried, fried, dead-ends of a curl that hang flat at the end of a perfect curl, and look terrible. I see SO many girls and women with ratty looking curl ends because the last pieces of hair can not easily be manually wrapped around modern barrels.

Which brings me to THE GLOVE. Yes, it is a heat barrier but the fit is terrible. The palm is tight and fingers are very tight, so it takes effort getting it off and on and no one has time to spare getting ready in the morning, and the fingers are too long! No matter how hard I tug, I can’t keep the fingertips taut, they keep riding up, thus I lose ability of delicate movements of my fingers that I need to get a nice neat wrap. The other issue with the glove is that you are holding your presumably smoothed section of hair with the gloved hand, to wrap on the barrel, but the fabric rubs against the hairs pulls at them, making it difficult to keep the hair smooth. And in reality, you need 2 gloves because you have to switch wrapping and operating hands to do both sides of your head. I would like to order new gloves, but I don’t see any for sale that are reviewed as good-fitting. If you have awesome heat gloves, please comment where to buy below my review.

I suspect the issues I have with this iron are really more about the trend of modern iron useability than this particular unit, which, cancelling my other complaints, makes this a good iron. I do wish it came with some sort of storage system because people who do not curl their hair (men) think they are ‘toys’ when they see them on my beauty counter (eyeroll). The barrels come in a styro-cut form and is too big to keep in a drawer or on the counter.

Until something with better function comes along, this unit, compared to others, will not let you down and the price is very reasonable.

Doesn’t hold a charge – have to turn on and off every time. Not very easy to use. Doesn’t curl very well.

Dont you just love curly hair? Do you wish you could wake up every day with natural bouncy curls? Well for us who have naturally straight hair that’s too bad. HOWEVER this product can make you look super fancy!

The interchangeable barrels are really nice to have because I can’t have small delicate curls to meet the queen of England, that calls for the big bouncy curls. But if i want to assert dominance during a game of pool in the bars of New York, I have to go with the medium curls. Other curling wands dont take into account that theres a curl for every occasion.

Worth the money. The only thing i would change is I wish the barrels were a tad longer.

I have very thick hair and alot of it. This wand made curling my hair a breeze and cut the time I spend curling it in half. There are 2 heat settings on it. I use the highest heat setting and it takes less than 30 seconds for me to curl each strand. The different wand options are great if I want to change the look up and it’s super easy to change out each wand.

  6. J. Russo

This hair curler is so easy to use. It works way better than any hair curling wand I’ve ever used and I love how it keeps the curls tight and gorgeous, even without the use of hairspray. It’s absolutely amazing and gives great results, definitely recommend!

I had been looking for something that could give big curls but also some small curls for my shorter layers in the front. I hated carrying around two wands, this is awesome. I have bag that I just toss the two heads I need and it’s a lot smaller to travel with. Heat is HOT if you want it to be, and easy to use. Careful though! It does take awhile to cool down. Good product! Especially with price.

  8. Amazon Customer

These are pretty good however I have very thick hair and the 410 degree max temp just didn’t cut it. So I am returning to get one that gets hotter.
