The SAINT JANE Star Flower Niacinamide Serum embodies luxury from the moment you lay eyes on it. Encased in a box adorned with intricate gold foil detail, the serum itself resides in a sleek rectangular glass bottle with elegant inner curves and a metallic plate bearing its name. The bubbles within sparkle, catching light in a mesmerizing dance of opulence. It’s a stunning addition to any vanity, exuding an air of sophistication.

Upon application, a delicate sweet scent wafts through the air, adding to the luxurious experience. While not marketed as a brightening serum, its focus lies in calming, plumping, and deeply hydrating the skin. Highlighting star flower (borago seed) and niacinamide as key ingredients, both renowned for their skin benefits, the serum boasts a thick yet non-sticky consistency. The inclusion of a pump not only preserves the integrity of the bubbles but also allows for precise dispensing, minimizing waste.

While I didn’t notice significant plumping or exceptional hydration, the serum does provide moisturization, leaving my skin soft with a subtle glow. However, its true prowess lies in its ability to reduce redness—a feature that impressed me greatly.

Despite its luxurious presentation, there are some notable drawbacks. The absence of a manufacturing or expiry date, as well as the lack of a safety seal, may raise concerns for some consumers. However, for those prioritizing presentation, packaging, and a blend of predominantly plant-derived ingredients, these factors may be overlooked.

Although there are more affordable niacinamide serums on the market, the SAINT JANE Star Flower Niacinamide Serum isn’t about cost-effectiveness. It’s about indulgence, offering a sensory experience that transcends mere skincare. While the bubbles may seem gimmicky, they set this serum apart, elevating its presentation to unparalleled heights.

If you’re willing to invest in a product that not only maintains skin health but also adds a touch of luxury to your skincare routine, then the SAINT JANE serum undoubtedly delivers.

Product: SAINT JANE – Star Flower Niacinamide Serum | Luxury, Floral-Infused, Clean Skincare
It’s undeniable that the bottle and the product are beautiful; these are little emulsion pearls that makes the product look like liquid gold gel. The glass bottle is weighty and luxurious. However, I think the product’s effect is just okay. There’s no fault and I experienced no irritation, but I don’t think it’s that moisturizing (I have normal to dry skin) nor did it look like it provide additional benefits to my skin. I don’t necessarily feel like my skin got softer, firmer, nor brighter; I could achieve better results from cheaper alternatives. At the same time, I have a feeling that because this serum is so “balanced,” I experienced fewer acne while I was using the product regularly. Still, I think for the price, I would expect more from the product. But if one just wants a vanity display item that also does a decent job, this is quite nice.

Everything about the pakaging and bottle of this serum screams luxury. The box itself has gold foil detail and the bottle is a lovely, rectangular glass with inner curves and a metal plate with the product name. The bubbles sparkle from within and catch light beautifully. Everything about it is beautiful and it looks great on the countertop. It also has a very pleasant sweet scent that you only notice as you’re spreading it on, which is mark of a luxury as well.

This doesn’t present itself as a brightening serum, but as a serum that will be calming, plumping, and provide deep hydration. The key ingredients highlighted are star flower (borago seed) and niacinamide – two ingredients that are known to be very beneficial to skin. The serum itself is thick, but doesn’t leave you sticky. The pump is a nice touch – not only does it protect the bubbles within, but also allows you to be more precise with how much you use. Personally I didn’t notice much in the way of plumping or exceptional hydration. It is moisturizing and leaves my skin soft and with a nice glow to it, though. What it really does well is in the way of redness reduction. I was impressed in that regard.

The box says this is made in the USA, but does not have a manufacture or expiry date. It also didn’t have a safety seal. I’m not super concerned about that, but did expect it to at least have a safety sticker on the box.

Look, as others have already pointed out, you can definitely get another niacinamide serum for much less. That’s not what this product is about and that’s not who this serum is for. This is about presentation, packaging, and the mix of mostly plant-derived ingredients that are all beneficial to your skin. Are the bubbles a gimmick? Yes, of course they are. But it also differentiates this product from all the others in its class and makes for an exceptional presentation.

If this is in your price range and you are looking for something that maintains your skin health and provides something a little extra in the way of presentation, I feel this product very much delivers.

First impression, this is one fancy looking facial serum. It’s really quite pretty, the “bubbles” inside really shine. It has a very light, sweet citrus/floral scent, I can’t quite place it, it’s very pleasant but subtle. The glass bottle does not contain any product information aside from the name of the product. The product information is all on the box so I have to keep it, which I usually don’t prefer to do.
I use one dot on each cheek and another on my forehead, a little spreads along way. It absorbs into my skin and does not leave any sticky residue or pilling. My skin is sensitive and dry and I have no reactions of any kind. I haven’t really noticed a reduction in the redness of my skin, but it does hydrate and smooth skin. It’s a bit pricey, and if I could afford it often, I would purchase it again.

Beautiful packaging and bottling, I almost did not want to open the product. The serum is pretty nice. All started out well, unfortunately after about a week of use I started to break out everywhere.
