I was apprehensive about the price but I’ve had this for months and barely made a dent. It does leave white residue if you load up but that’s kind of inevitable, love this product and definitely recommend.

My son purchased this product and absolutely loves it. Santa Cruz Paleo is the best! It is a bit pricey for such a small container, but it is nice to know that you are not using chemicals for sunscreen.

Super dry. Leaves a white cast when you apply even, the smallest pee sized amount wont blend in.

I’ve been on the hunt for a trustworthy tallow sun balm, and I’m glad to say I’ve finally found one. This balm is a solid choice if you’re looking to move away from sunscreens with questionable chemicals.
The product is a bit thicker, so you do need to take your time rubbing it in, and if you apply too much, it can leave a slight white cast. However, the extra effort is worth it for the peace of mind that comes with using minimal and natural ingredients. It’s fragrance-free and leaves my skin with a nice glow without peeling or flaking, even after reapplying.
Overall, it’s a reliable sun protection option that aligns with my preference for cleaner skincare products. Solid Product.

If you are like me, you want your child to have the healthiest possible options for sunscreen this is it. Only 2 ingredients! Grass fed beef tallow and Non nano zinc oxide.
My daughter has very sensitive skin and got a horrible sunburn earlier in the summer and I haven’t felt good about putting the chemical filled regular sunscreen on her.
This was the least expensive, healthy option to use until I can render my own beef tallow! It is a small jar, but it’s glass so that’s nice.
It has a faint scent that my husband swears smells like stew… but it’s hardly noticeable and fades over time. It does leave your skin looking a but white, but I’d rather have that than get a sunburn OR have chemicals soak into your skin!
Love it so much we’ve bought it 3 times!

This sunblock has clean ingredients with just beef tallow and zinc oxide. I bought this for a recent trip to Florida and while I still got fried, its because I didn’t really re-apply 🙂 When I used it this weekend back up north on my face before pool time, I did not get sunburn at all.
-Compared to other brands its priced OK.
-Does it work? Yes! Reapply it in high UV index.
-Hows it go on? Easy to apply, very creamy. Doesnt feel greasy IMO.
-Does it leave a white cast? Yes, all zinc oxides do. But the more you rub it in, the less it looks white
-Does it smell like beef tallow? Kinda, yes! If you can get over that, go ahead and buy it.
-Should they have put a scent in it? Definitely. Perhaps another mix cut with something that smells a bit better like jojoba, coconut or almond oil would be better.
