Great item well made (it’s plastic) . The spring is wound for a tight grip. Holds nicely , sure you may have to readjust it depending on your activity at the time. I’ve purchased other brands and this is my favorite size .. not to big or to small.. I don’t have thin hair nor is it as thick as it use to be but this size doesn’t let me down. Easy to clean if needed. Not sure if you need one for the day clip on the bottom of your shirt !!it’s there when you need it..

I love this item but it arrived in an amazon flat envelope, first time the whole clip was broken, second time one of the teeth.
If you are ordering, ask for it to be securely packaged in a box, not an envelope!!!! This is a fragile item!

I have bought this hair clip a few times at Rite Aid over many years, but they were out of them recently so I ordered online. This is the best hair clip if you have a lot of thick hair. It always stays in place and can handle my hair. You have to treat it right, though, because the nature of any hair clip is that you can’t put it somewhere like in a bag with other stuff or it will get crushed. I try and take really good care of it. And try really hard to never drop it. It is very well made, but all hair clips can easily break if not handled with care.

Before this clip I bought a 3 pack of goody clips. They were so pathetically lousy I immediately got a refund from Amazon. The teeth were so flimsy pieces would randomly break off during the day, and the clip never held my hair. So I was so relieved to get this one instead. This one is FANTASTIC. It doesn’t budge. It’s very sturdy. I can’t say enough good about it.

I’ve bought this clip twice now, with Amazon replacing it once because it arrived broken.
I’d used my first clip for over 3 years and was so relieved I could buy one here. It’s the ONLY hair clip I use because I have super long and thick hair and it’s the only one – out of 3 others I bought – that actually keep my hair up.
It’s got a clear, remember grip inside the claws that help keep your hair gripped and in place.
BUT, it’s fragile. Not so fragile that you can’t drop it or it’ll shatter, but fragile as in it’ll break the claw points if your sleep with it your hair (duh) or try to close it tighter on your hair. I’ve gone through only 2 and I’ll still buy them, even if I might break a claw or two. It’s still usable and does the job.

This is the BEST BEST.. hair claw I have owned. I repurchase it every time!!
Other hair claws typically lose a tooth/claw within a month the way I really close them on my hair. I have waist length hair so you can imagine the stress I put on the hair claws I use.
My hair is also LONG & THICK and I’ve NEVER been able to use clips.
These are sturdier than anticipated and they really hold my hair!
I’ve also tried shaking my head all around to dislodge them and they’re staying put. I love these.
I often SLEEP with one in my hair at night!
My hair is long and I pile on top of my head (where it doesn’t touch the pillow) to keep it out of my face and IT ALWAYS STAYS..
My favorite part of these clips is the grip-piece that keeps your hair secure !
I have fine hair and these are the ones that hold my hair the best!. If these ever go away I will be very sad! Love them. Perfect for thin hair.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of hair clips sold today have very short teeth, despite being advertised “for thick hair.” As a result, they’re not able to grip my hair and clip near my scalp. The teeth are simply too short.
These are the only clips that have teeth long enough to keep my hair up. I’ve attached pictures of this clip and another sold on Amazon for comparison.
I even use it in the shower after conditioning to clip my hair up and after rinsing to keep my hair out of the way.
