So I bought 3 Sensationnel wigs to try out for 2024. I knew the brand has a long history in haircare and is reputable. I bought 3 lace front wigs. 2 ‘Butta Lace and one ‘What Lace’. All in 1B. All are high quality, exceptionally made, packaged, and paid close attention to details. Ok so this wig:
The Butta Lace wig here is absolutely stunning. You feel like a 1950s movie star in this wig. I TRIED to get my weaves with $600 Indian hair with leave out, to wave and curl like this back in the day. For this price it’s an absolute steal. The lace front is damn near invisible, with very small front for parting. It’s one basic row, for one basic part. Im honestly afraid to fluff it into different styles. I don’t want to lose the curl and tangle it too fast. The length, and thickness is perfect. The length feels like a 16-18, long layers but the longest layer isn’t too thin. There seems to be 2- 3 big severe layers, which feels odd but see to be well placed. The density feels to be 180%. The hair is incredibly soft and super bouncy but not too shinny. The construction of the wig is excellent. It has many combs, thick reinforced seams and invisible lace. However, there are ALMOST NO BABY HAIRS. I need those annoying buggers to help cover my awkward natural hairline!!
The lace, while invisible, is itchy as hell. The other Sensationnel lace wigs were too, so maybe I’m just sensitive. I do have sensitive skin. Its more rough and scratchy then soft and satiny. There is no strap in the back. I’m not sure if it’s actually needed since it’s so secure. I luckily have straps I’ll add if it gets big or lose. The cap itself, like all the Sensationnel wigs I got, are all small as F. Luckily I cut my thick hair shoulder length, braided it super flat, wore a wig cap, then put it on. Without all that, this would never get on my head. I have a huge head.. Good news is that this wig is so thick and well constructed, It honestly doesn’t need to cover everything 100%. I could get away with short braid tucked out the back or make it into a headband wig by pushing it back if needed. Small or not, it fits snug, won’t budge, looks amazing and is my new favorite date night wig. I haven’t worn it to work yet, so I’ll find out how it holds up. I got 3 different ones in the same color so I can rotate them for wash and maintenance cycles. We’ll see how it holds up!! Wish my lazy butt luck!
I also just took it out of the package and tossed it on. It is exactly as described. First pics are without styling. The second ones I fluffed the waves a bit, by finger coiling individual sections .

I gave 5 stars only so you can see this review! This wig is nothing like the pictures at all it’s absolutely horrid. Curls look nothing like the reviews or as advertised on the picture. I’ve bought so many sensationnel wigs and loved them. I’m recently in love with their vice blonde wig that has pink ombré highlights it’s gorgeous and just as advertised. But this is one of those rare occasions where it’s an absolutely HECK NO! LOL! I tend to stay away from their very wigs because they always arrive crazy. Their light wavy wigs are usually nice tho! Their straight wigs are usually too thick. So yeah I love sensationnel hair but they did me dirty with this one fr! IT IS A FREAKING RATS NEST! 🐀🪺🤣 ALRIGHT BYE! SAVE UR MONEY AND GET THE VICE OMBRÉ INSTEAD LOL! Luckily Amazon gave me a refund they’re so nice!

Now, do not think this is how it looks out the pack. I watched a video for a little insight on this wig and it didn’t disappoint.
It’s synthetic so let’s start there. Out of the pack, it was beautiful and soft. The lace was thin but needed lace tint (Ofcourse). The curls are beautiful.
You don’t need anything besides a wide tooth comb and some gel for your edges because the hair does well on its own. The curls hold up well and it lays pretty flat. I have a big head and it fits perfectly, with a little extra room. There’s clips in the back for the smaller head girls. It sheds, not dramatically, but that’s a given.

I truly disliked this wig. I’ve worn synthetic wigs before even though I usually wear human hair wigs. This wig was scratchy and rough,both the hair and the lace.
There wasn’t enough space between when the edges transitioned into the tracks. The tracks started right behind the hairline and the hairline was way too thick.
Plus she’s a tangly one, I cut 4 ” off and bought some silicon spray and she’s still tangly.
I’m going to stick with Outre brand if I decide to buy synthetic wigs. Far more realistic, the hair and lace doesn’t feel like a loofah, and plenty space between the edge of the wig and where the tracks start to allow customization, if needed.

Lace melts easy and blends well, wig is big head friendly. The only problem I had is that it tangles easily but overall beautiful beautiful wig!! This wig needs to move to a 13×4 or 13×6 frontal wig!!!
