50ml für diesen Preis finde ich ungeheuerlich. Dieser Preis ist üblicherweise bei 150ml.
Wenn ich nicht ein Stern anklicken müsste – NULL Sterne!
    Never again!

With this gel, I don’t need to add the styling paste that I usually use to hold the look I want. I use a tiny amount, and it lasts all day. If I want to add more texture, I just wet my hands and create the look. It’s great, and it’s going to last a loooong time.

  3. Amazon Customer

I love this product. Came in good time. As expected.

  4. Hussain

Been using this product for 15 years plus. Keeps your hair locked into what ever way you want it

  5. sl

Love this hair product, it’s solid hold but not too sticky to your finger

  6. A

I have long wavy hair and I prefer this hold. A little goes a long way but too much can have a stiff crunch.

Only apply on wet hair. If you try to apply on dry hair it’s like using glue.

  7. O. Fernandez

I’ve been buying this product for years and was excited to see the large 17 oz container option. Not sure the frustration is worth the savings with this particular container. The final 20% of product is near impossible to get out of the tub.

  8. Robert Brame

Best one I have ever used. Will definitely buy again. I small amount with water mix in hair.

I have always had a lot of wispy hairs around my hairline that annoy me. I have very fine hair, and have several fans going at all times in my work space, and the feeling of those little hairs tickling and tickling my face drives me crazy. I’ve been looking for a strong hold gel that I can just put on the stray hairs in the morning, and then forget about it. I want a gel I can rely on to hold all day- and then some.

I am old enough to remember the incredibly strong hold styling products we had in the 80s we used to spike up or hold up the masses of volume that we strove to get into our hair. I remember I.C.E. Gel by Joico had a really strong hold, as well as that teal blue gel KMS made, or the spray gels like Spritz Forte by Sebastian (I still remember its sweet, alcohol smell) that faithfully kept your hair in place through a long night of dancing, and through what came after.

I can’t find any of those old reliable products any longer. Is it that one or more of the ingredients in those oldies but goodies is now possibly banned? Or, it could just be that nowadays, not as many people want to put that kind of 80s gravity-defying volume in their hair.

I tried a few big box store gels, like Gorilla gel, whose holding agent-heavy ingredient list looked promising in terms of delivering hold, and a few other gels that claimed to give a “super strong hold.” None of the products I tried held the little wispies beyond an hour or so, and I ended up returning them all. I found the Got2 Be gel in the yellow tube to have an adequately powerful hold, but the smell and texture of the product reminded me too much of Elmer’s glue. It just wasn’t pleasant to use. (Their hairspray is amazing, though.)

I read through the reviews submitted for supposedly stronger holding gels here on Amazon, and this one caught my eye. Many reviewers (thanks, guys!) mentioned decently strong hold. I decided to try the smaller tube of it, and if it didn’t work, I would give it to a friend.

It arrived. I sprayed some water around my hairline, and brushed the hair back. I dispensed about a dime size of the Hard Holding Gel into my palm and distributed it to my other palm, and then applied the product to my hair line. The Gel is a fairly viscous blue gel, on the thicker side, but not annoyingly so. It has a light, fresh neutral scent that is barely detectable. It’s formula reminded me of the not-strong holding Gorilla gel, so I decided to add more product to my hairline, as I wanted to make sure I had enough to feel what it was like, and also to make sure those annoying hairs were finally tamed.

It was hot and dry today, so the gel dried quickly. And- I was transported back to those no-nonsense hair gels of the 1980s.

This stuff has true holding power. In fact, by accident, I had put way too much in my hair, and when I run my hands over where the dried gel is, it does feel crunchy. But weirdly- it doesn’t feel not right to me. I guess it’s because I don’t intend to brush out my hair later, or perhaps that I am used to products that hold like this from using them back in the day. I just want my hair to stay put, for as long as possible. And I can tell that this Hard Holding Gel is going to deliver.

I tried brushing through part of my gelled hairline so I could report what that was like. The gel brushed out clean, without any flaking, and no crunchy feeling remained. Though I really over-applied the product, I can’t feel it on my hair, unless I touch it. I mean- there’s no weird extra stiffness or feeling of a product’s presence on my hair, as with the Got 2 Be gel. My hair is, finally, just doing what I want it to be doing.

This smaller sized tube is going to last me a long time, because I know now that a much smaller amount than I initially applied will be powerful enough to do the job. This gel re-activates easily with a bit of water, too. And it rinses out clean.

Anyone looking for a powerfully holding hair product that will allow you to spike or slick back your hair or otherwise have it defy gravity, and have it hold ALL DAY, should definitely check out this product. This stuff is the real deal. Thinking back again to the hairstyles of the 80s, I bet this gel would even be powerful enough to hold up one of the big Mohawks a few of my buddies sported. And to do that takes some no-nonsense, powerful holding hair gel. Really glad my search is over for the ideal, dependable go-to styling product. Highly recommended!

  10. Audrey Figueiredo

This product works great on curly hair. It takes just a tiny bit as it goes a long way. I highly recommend this if you tend to get frizz.

  11. Big Roy

Great product. One bottle last a long time for and my short hair. Love it.

  12. ANDRES SANCHEZ CAMUÑAS

Excelente producto y excelente proveedor la entrega fue rapidisima

  13. ian

Good, very strong hold and smells great.

Only reason for 4 stars is because the product container was damaged when received.
