I was so exited to see that a round brush is finally available for the shark! However as soon as I popped the attachment on and turned on my shark it overheated and shut down. In like 30 seconds. The round attachment has a plate inside that is attached with 2 metal screws. The original oval attachment does not. I removed the plate and screws and boom, no more overheating. This seems like a really big oversight. Shark should fire their R&D and product manager who let this one go to market. It should seriously be recalled ASAP. If you don’t want to wait for them to get their ish together, it works fine once the screws are removed.

Estaba muy emocionada por este attachment porque era justo lo que quería y necesitaba ya que el cepillo oval con el que viene la Shark, es muy grande para mi gusto y el largo de mi cabello.
Lo compré, llegó en 1 semana y media, bien empacado PERO cuando lo usé mi Shark se apagó luego de 1 minuto de usarla; en ese momento no hice la conexión y limpié el ventilador de la parte de abajo, la conecté en otro lado y nada. Estaba muy triste porque pensé que mi Shark ya se había descompuesto a un año de su compra.
Sin embargo, el otro día utilicé tanto el attachment de secadora como el ovalado y para mi sorpresa no se apagó. Dejé que se enfriara totalmente y le puse este y a los 40 segundos, se apagó. Hice esta prueba en días distintos, conectandola en diferentes lados, con y sin regulador de energía y el resultado es el mismo. En conclusión, este attachment no tiene buena ventilación lo que ocasiona que mi Shark se apague.
Sí, no es muy caro, pero de todos modos debería funcionar como debe. Mi recomendación, es que no lo compres.

The smaller round brush worked so much better on my hair! I have long, fine/thin hair with little texture and the oval brush just didn’t do that much! This round brush is smaller and gave my hair a lot more volume and the curl held.

I wanted to love this – it works beautifully…for about ten seconds. It overheats so quickly that it shuts the entire Shark FlexStyle down. It’s really frustrating even when using it on the lowest heat setting – not worth the price because of this, I just went back to using a round brush and the oval attachment. Please redevelop this Shark! It would be a hit if it didn’t overheat in seconds!

The first picture is misleading-the attachment is for sure a circle shape, not an oval like the one that the dryer comes with, will update when I use it on how it compares to the oval shape

for context I have very thick and long hair.
pros: can give a better shape, picks up smaller pieces of hair, good quality attachment just like the rest of them, good for styling post blowdry
cons: broke off of the hair dryer easily and got caught in my hair like three times, not for thicker hair, better for styling than drying
the oval brush has more area that the hair can sit on for drying. I would say to get a certain shape this attachment is good-but beware of it getting caught in your hair like a barrel brush would, at least if you have thick hair like me. you honestly don’t need this attachment but if you do touch ups on smooth, dry hair or much smaller pieces its good.

I love my Shark drying system! I bought it wanted to get rid of the multiple hair styling appliances in my small bathroom. The only thing it didn’t come with was a ROUND brush for straightening + lightly turning under ends. I used to have a dryer that did just that – one tool I used every day. As soon as I decided that my Shark dryer was a keeper, I got on Amazon and searched for the round brush tool. It arrived quickly. It serves my needs and works beautifully to dry, straighten, and smooth the ends under of my bob. If you need a round brush and have the Shark system, this is a must-have accessory!
