I’ve used multiple shampoo and conditioner products from different brands over the years, but this one is unique. My hair is very long, below the hip, and wavy at some parts while being curly as well. This shampoo cleans and washes so well! The scent isn’t overwhelming, and it leaves my hair feeling fresh. From my experience, it doesn’t foam too much which is good, and it contains ingredients that promote healthy hair growth which I love. The bottle is a good size as well. I highly recommend this product!

This stuff has worked wonders for my hair. I’ve been using it for a little over a year and my hair (dark, straight, very dense,) is long, silky, buoyant and full of volume. I used to struggle with dryness and breakage, but this combined with better hair care and protective practices have turned that around for me. It also takes four or five days before my hair starts looking greasy after I wash, compared to one or two for most big name products.
My hair care practices:
– Shampoo just the roots, take extra time and product to get into the roots
– Rinse
– Heap conditioner all throughout roots and hair
– Leave on for a few minutes or rinse, then follow up with a hair mask I can rinse off later
– Use a boar’s hair brush once or twice a day, working from the roots down
– Detangle with fingers only, being careful not to yank hair
– Sleeping with smoother pillowcases (I use bamboo viscose)
– Sleeping with hair in a ponytail, bun or braid
– No hot air or heat irons
– Pat dry with a towel, gently twist up or wear down until dry (sometimes I put it up before it dries, but I probably shouldn’t)
– When I put my hair up, I use a large claw or a satin ponytail holder, sometimes bobby pins
– I have a few blonde streaks that do seem to break a bit more easily, but they almost match the healthiness of the untreated hair – a far cry from how frazzled the blonde would get in previous periods of my life.
I’m still having issues with scalp flakiness and itchiness if I don’t wash my hair for a few days, but this has been an awesome transformation for me so far.
The ingredients are all neutral to super healthy for you. There were only a couple I had questions about:
– Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein Pg-Propyl Silanetriol. Couldn’t find a lot of information about this one, but no indication so far it causes any problems.
– Fragrance: This is a catch-all label for lots of ingredients that carry a smell, which means we don’t have any information about if the stuff in this scent might be potentially harmful.
Overall, I’m not a big fan of including fragrance just to add smell – if it smells nice on its own, that’s a different conversation, but it sometimes does harm to include it. Other than that, I’m really happy with and trust what’s going on my hair from this product.

He empezado a usarlo como parte de lo que ahora se llama método curly, dónde se evitan parabenos y sintéticos en ingredientes así como se logra obtener el beneficio del rizo mejor definido. Been using this for a little over a month and notice absolutely no good difference in my hair. It claims that it’s for all hair types, but my coarse wavy hair did not like this. My hair looks dryer, and I feel like the breakage increased. I don’t think I’m shedding less. In fact, I might be shedding more.
I can appreciate that it has natural Ingredients, that’s, fine. The lather isn’t too bad either and the smell is quite nice. Very natural. But the product itself is just not good. I found that it was drying, not moisturizing, just overall the complete opposite of what you’d want your shampoo to do.
This is just my experience obviously, but all in all. Not a great shampoo.

I really like this product actually. Did wonders softening my treated hair. I should have got the conditioner as well! Definitely one I could recommend for treated and damaged hair.

I have been using Shea Moisture for about 10 years. It was my go to after going natural. Most products I used either stripped my hair or created some form of temporary breakage. This is the only Shampoo product I have ever used that did a triple job. It throughly cleaned the scalp, did an amazing job of detangling and created a beautiful shine after heat styling. The only concern I had was once the company was purchased they aimed to distribute a batch of shampoo with a fragrance. I almost stopped using it because I don’t like strong fragrances in my hair care product. Despite the uneasiness about continuing use I went ahead and kept using it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it still delivered the same benefits and results as usual. Eventually I noticed when i purchased more shampoo the fragrance feature was no longer there. I also noticed that the apple cider additive began to clump a bit but it still did not interfere with the product delivering great results on my 4c hair. I would say over all even with some mild changes and no chemically based alterations I will continue to use the best product for my hair. I use it on my hair my twin daughters hair and it continues to deliver beautiful results.

I bought this before for myself, it worked good so I bought it for my 2 year old hair. It smells good, helps with breakage and it gives your here a shine. Perfect for any type of hair, it softens the hair. It lathers well

Much safer than other brands, smells good and is ok on my hair. It’s a bit drying, but rub a little coconut oil into your hair and it works great.

CALLING ALL FINE HAIRED GIRLIES. I bought this shampoo bc it looked cool. My hair was hopeless, so i just grabbed whatever shampoo looked nice bc nothing helped it anyways. Wrong. I have straight, very very fine, blonde hair. My hair gets greasy super fast and literally plasters to my head bc its so flat. And then I bought this shampoo. I have more volume than I know what to do with. No more greasy, flat, ugly hair.
I will say though there are some trade offs. This shampoo is very heavy. I find it can leave a residue if I don’t really work at washing it all out, and even then it’s hard to get out. It’s not a bad residue and doesn’t feel damaging, but its there. I just use a clarifying shampoo when I feel like it’s necessary.
It smells great, doesn’t feel drying and actually is one of the only shampoos where I feel like I could go without conditioner bc my hair feels SILKY after using it. It feels silky but somehow without leaving my hair flat and greasy like other “moisturizing” shampoos do.
Absolute life saver of a shampoo for someone struggling with volume. NOTHING has worked even close to how this one does.
