You probably have seen a lot of people on social media talking about Skala (Brazilian hair care brand) and are wondering if it is as good as they say it is. I have an answer for you: YES IT IS. I have naturally curly hair (3A) that I straightened for years because I really didn’t know how to take care of it. The creams and mousses I tried to style it would leave it sticky and with frizz so I decided to go straight until it got to a point that my hair started to fall a lot and it became weak and brittle.
One day on IG I saw a video of a girl with gorgeous curly hair recommending this cream (3 years ago) and I looked it up on amazon and saw the price was good and decided to try. First time using it as a leave in and my curls were back!!!! I was so impressed by it that I decided to try and recover my natural hair, so my transition began. Three years later my hair is super long, curly, full and with volume, hair loss under control and I am never going back.
Obviously this is not the only hair care product I use but this is a must have for me and I also own other Skalas for different hair needs.
This Skala Maracuja (passion fruit) is oriented to make your hair stronger and help it grow. I have used it in every possible way.
As a cowash (only once a week I do cowash, you do need to wash your hair with shampoo a couple of times a week). It will clean your hair very softly. It leaves the hair shiny and very easy to detangle.
I have used it as a conditioner that you rinse out. I leave it on for 15 minutes and use a cap and the result is fabulous shiny and soft hair, and I use it the most as a leave in conditioner a styler and I love it. It really defines my curls, they look soft, moisturized and shiny. I pair it with a gel that I use to scruch at the end of the styling process and voila!
Huge jar, full of product that can be use in many ways, great fruity scent. Clean product with vegan ingredients and cruelty free. It is everything you can ask for!!!

I think this product is nice bc it smells good and it does kind of keep the frizziness at bay, but it’s a heavy product. I feel putting too little of the product doesn’t help my hair bc it still looks frizzy, and putting too much makes my hair feel waxy almost, like there’s too much product in my hair. My hot is in btwn soft loose curls and wavy and it’s kind of thick and very long. Maybe on shorter hair it’d be better bc a lot of it isn’t needed.

I don’t only use this product as a leave in conditioner but as gel as well to create my perfect curls, it smells absolutely amazing. Verg easy texture to work with. Doesn’t make my hair feel or look frizzy which is something I have struggled with when it comes to other products. 9/10.

I used this as my finishing conditioner after my deep treatment. Running my wide toothed comb through my hair was a breeze. I let it sit in my hair while I showered. I used the blue Skala as my leave-in afterwards. Smells lightly fruity.
I’ll try using this as my mid-week moisture/nutrition treatment. The bottle says it’s a treatment, leave-in, or use as a regular conditioner.
So far I am pleased with the Skala line.
Edited: I used it as a mid-week treatment. I co-washed first, applied this to my hair and sat under a hooded dryer for 15 minutes. When I rinsed it out it still felt like my hair needed something more to make it feel softer. But, I decided to give it a chance. Applied my regular gel and no leave-in. Boom soft hair and curls. Week 2 of Skala and still loving it!

I’ve been using this for amount a month now and I haven’t even made a dent in the sheer amount of product that’s in here! Granted mine had a tiny bit that was leaking, but I assume it was from being delivered and not faulty packaging. It keeps my curls nice and shiny and soft! I love the smell too.

I used it as a conditioning mask and it did the job really well. I was pleasantly surprised at the large size of the tub and I was happy that it didn’t arrive broken like other reviews have mentioned. The consistency is fairly thick and I like the tropical smell. I will definitely buy again because it’s a really good value in my opinion.

If you want your hair waves or curls to be the softest ever, this is THE product for you. I have wavy hair and my hair was freeze ball after every wash. I tried almost everything until I saw a Tik Tok about this product. Best money ever spent. My hair is NOT a freeze ball anymore and my waves are back. Healthy, shiny & beautiful. I wash my hair normally, in damp hair I apply a good amount to cover all my hair and let it air dry. Voila my hair has beautiful natural waves. Highly recommend

I have thin curly hair, somewhere between 3B and 3C, pretty heat damaged from straightening , and I have been looking for a product like this for a long time. It’s light weight, hydrating, doesn’t leave your hair crunchy at all, simply the best. You have to take a small amount, rub it well through your hands, and that’s all you need. Really, I’ve bought so many expensive products like Olaplex and so far this one is the best for me.
