I have sebaceous filaments, and this face mask worked wonders. It made a noticeable difference – my pores look smaller and clean. The exfoliation is very gentle and left my skin brighter and glowing.
The mask is thick and feels moisturizing. It also changes color when applied! It goes on green and changes to a dark pink/red color. It has an earthy, herbal scent.
Note that the instructions say to leave this on for only 3-5 minutes, and not to let it dry on the skin like other masks.
This comes in a beautiful glass tub, with a plastic cap under the lid, and a tape seal over the lid. There is a gold colored spatula included.

I’m an esthetician and I keep my skincare routine pretty simple but when I do need a little something extra, especially around that time of the month, this is what I use. Worth every penny.

This TACHA Clarifying Clay Mask a thick 3-5 minute mask that changes colors. First it’s green when you initially put it on, as a little time passes it turns red. This Clarifying mask also smells of Lime and sea salt. It’s got a very summer feel to it. The purpose of this mask to exfoliate dry skin, eliminate excess oil and sebum.
I enjoyed the scent of this face mask, as well as the results. My skin turned out brighter, softer and smoother looking. This is a great exfoliator to use once a week that doesn’t dry, irritate your skin or leave a chemical burn. It feels relaxing on your skin and you only have to wear it for 3-5 minutes. It’s not too shabby!

This is the only product from Tatcha that I’m not nuts about. I have sensitive skin and am not allergic to ONE thing in this line, and can leave this mask on for 5 minutes without an issue. Does make my skin feel nice but is temporary.

The Tatcha clarifying face mask comes in an incredibly premium (glass?) tub, well-sealed with a gold colored spatula for application. Seriously, this is a luxuriously packaged product. It is made from Japanese volcanic ash and clay, which helps to absorb oil from the skin.
The mask is easy to use and apply, and I definitely notice a difference after the first use. It’s only supposed to be applied for 3-5 minutes, and it’s not as drying as other traditional clay face masks I’ve used. I felt like my pores were smaller after using. It was very gentle, and worked great on my skin without drying it out, and helped my skin feel clean and less oily after use. The exfoliation after use of the mask made the skin look and feel smoother.
It is made of a very clean and natural ingredients list, which does not include any synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, urea, DEA, TEA or phthalates.
I’m also happy about Tatcha’s commitment to social responsibility, with their “beautiful faces, beautiful futures” fund, where every purchase supports a fund to help girls stay in school through the Girl’s Education Program in Asia and Africa. You only need to use a little bit of this product. I find myself gravitating towards more expensive products that you can use less of, rather than cheaper products that you need to use a lot of. I got this product on sale and it was totally worth it. I like to maximize value, and I was happy with what this product had to offer.
