Love this shaver and it does a great job. However, I used it in the shower regularly for a probably 2 months and it started acting weird; turned itself on when it wasn’t plugged in, then wouldn’t charge. I’m assuming because of water damage. But I contacted Freebird and they promptly sent me a new unit. Now I’m trying to make sure it doesn’t get submerged and will continue using – still a fan of this product but hope it doesn’t conk out on me again, and of it does hope I get another replacement.

This head shaver by Freebird is efficient and easy to use. I particularly appreciate the close shave it provides and its comfortable grip. While there is a bit of a learning curve, the results are worth it. The ability to use it in the shower is also a highlighted feature, making the shaving process more convenient and enjoyable.
The FlexSeries Electric Head Hair Shaver by Freebird should be a top choice for anyone looking to maintain a bald head with minimal hassle. Its ergonomic design, versatile functionality, and excellent performance make it a worthwhile investment. While it may be pricier than some alternatives, its benefits and my satisfaction justify the cost for me.

    Key Features
Ergonomic Design: The shaver fits comfortably in my hand, making it easy to maneuver around the contours of my head.
Multi-Directional Shaving: Its flexible blades move in multiple directions, ensuring a close and smooth shave, even on uneven surfaces.
Wet and Dry Shaving: You can use it in the shower with shaving cream or on dry skin, making it versatile for different preferences.
Long Battery Life: The shaver boasts a long-lasting battery, which is convenient for extended use without frequent recharging.
Easy Cleaning: The blades are easy to remove and clean, maintaining hygiene and extending the life of the shaver.

    Pros
Close and Comfortable Shave: It provides a very close shave without causing irritation.
Ease of Use: Its design makes it simple to use, even though I was new to electric head shavers.
Versatility: Suitable for both wet and dry shaving, allowing for flexibility in use.
Durable Battery: The long battery life is a significant advantage, especially for travel or when I don’t want to charge the shaver frequently.
Convenient Maintenance: Easy to clean and maintain, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.

    Cons
There is a Learning Curve: If you’re like me, you might need a few tries to get accustomed to the best way to use the shaver for optimal results.
Price: It may be more expensive than some other head shavers on the market, which could be a consideration for budget-conscious buyers, but the end results and my satisfaction with my purchase makes paying a little more justifiable to me.

Performance wise, I’m pretty pleased with it. I use it to shave my head, and am prone to razor bumps. I have had zero nicks, and only one razor bump in ~2 months of use. Coincidentally, it does not do as well on my neck/throat, and has actually caused some irritation there. But, everyone is a little different. I’ve read some reviews that say the opposite.

It has plenty of power, and works great both wet and dry. It only takes a few minutes to shave, and seems to hold the charge well. So, I’m not sure what some other reviewers complained about with regard to battery life. I’ve only have ti charge it once a month or so. I prefer to use it with a little shaving cream on my head to minimize any chance for friction.

The shave head is easy enough to clean, although opening the head can be a little tricky when your hands are wet. I haven’t noticed any issues with the head getting clogged, whether shaving wet or dry.

As for the accessories included. It’s a nice touch, but they are basically fluff. I would much rather they included a storage case, than what effectively amounts to a shoe shiner. Does anyone actually buff their head? Then again, I guess if need to polish your shoes, problem solved!

For me, finding this razor was major win. I’d highly recommend trying the freebird.

I used this shaver for 2 weeks. During that time I contacted Freebird several times regarding best use and maintenance. Their response was nearly instantaneous, friendly and helpful. But, finally, the shaver just did not work for me. I have tried various other handheld rotary head shavers and found them to generally fail pretty quickly, or be otherwise unsatisfactory. I read about how Freebird developed the PRO as an upgrade to the earlier Flex, and was hopeful. The comparison I made was to a Panasonic Arc 5, a device that the maker does not even recommend for head shaving, but which actually does an excellent job. Its problem is that shape of the shaving head is more suited to the flatter planes of the face than the curves of the scalp, so it just takes longer. The PRO looks to be well constructed although, except for the blade beads it’s mostly plastic. Here’s where the PRO was lacking for me:
    1. Its shave is just not nearly as close as the Arc 5, even with repeated passes
    2. The head assembly did not flex as much as others I’ve tried. At times, instead of cradling my head, it felt as though it was just sitting on top of it.
    3. Cleaning is more involved than I’m ready for. I put the basic head assembly under running water and a fair amount of gunk showed in sink water. But then, because there had been some recommendations that the head assembly needed to be disassembled, I did this, very carefully holding everything together, to running water over a freshly cleaned sink. More gunk. So, apparently this disassembly and cleaning needs to take place after every use. These spaces are incredibly tiny and it wouldn’t take much to affect performance. But because the PRO doesn’t cut too closely, I would need to use it daily. This coupled with the cleaning routine is just more hassle than I’m ready for.

Finally, Freebird seems like a good company, except for their recommendation that the blade assembly be replaced after every 50 shaves. Either the blade assembly is not well made, or this is just a $ grab. I know of no other manufacturer of any similar device that would recommend replacement this frequently.
