I use the Lactic Acid every night and it seems to make a difference. I’ve only been using it about 10 days, but I like the effect it’s having on my skin. It does help with moisturizing and my skin feels somewhat smoother and maybe a little firmer. I know it is a great skincare product. I should know better I. About 4-6 weeks.

  2. I really like this stuff 😊

I used this product the first night!! Let me tell you… the next morning I could tell the refreshes of my face. My face was a Lil red, but it’s always that way. My face was bright for most of the day. You dont want to use this any other acid products. Make sure to Moisturize after you wash ur face, from having the acid toner on… that’s very important. Using a V-C serum is good. That’s what I use the next day, and a good moisturizer. Also you shouldn’t use this acid toner every night. I guess yourself can be the judge. It’s a really good product I think. Oh Lil goes a long way.

Love this latic acid. It’s gentle yet effective and at its price point, it’s 5 stars 🌟. Use it on damp skin and follow the directions. If you aren’t used to exfoliaters like this- start at once or 2xs a week. I use it 3xs sometimes 4xs a week usually in the winter I use it more. Depending on how my skin is that week. I even use this woth retinol. Only bc I’m used to it. Don’t do this if you, never used retinol or haven’t built up the tolerance. I looked it up, you can do this only if it’s a gentle latic acid and your skin, has built up a tolerance for both retinol and this. I use the latic acid and retinol only once* a week together** That’s it! I see people spending so much on latic acid when I think it’s better spend on your retinol/vitamin c or a good moisturizer/ eye cream. Don’t mix with other aha/bha obviously or retinol (only if you built up a tolerance you can use together once a week) use this after your toner and or essence. After the latic acid use something that’s hydrating like: ceramide serum like coco kind – panthenol serum from some by mi- Vichy 89- the purito centella serum – cosrx propolis serum- naturium barrier support serum-( i think thats what the name is) these are some of what I use after the latic acid to protect and hydrate my skin barrier, then top it with a hydrating moisturizer. You’ll have the most plump and glowy skin in the morning. It’s insane how it helps with texture, it exfoliates while leaving your skin so soft and no bad reactions since latic acid is the gentlest of acids✨️🌟✨️🌟✨️

Haven’t noticed any change after a month

I’ve repurchased this a few times so I’m familiar with this product. It does a wonderful job at exfoliating my skin. I used this one day and the next I use a glycolic acid and continue this process everyday. This helps my skin turnover rate and my skin is so clear and smooth. I like that this has no scent and when I run out and stop using it my skin changes back to being clogged.

I have bad skin that’s dry and lots of acne. I would sometimes get flaky skin on my nose in the winter I always use salicylic acid every day but it only helps my acne and isn’t too effective for exfoliating i thought lactic acid would help get rid of the flakes. It did work well with the flakes but it made my acne worse so I stopped using it. A few weeks ago I decided I would see if it did anything to my ingrown hairs. It works very well as a gentle exfoliator down there I use it the day before I shave and have noticed a significant reduction of ingrowns! Yay! Glad I found a use for it.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 1 oz/30 mL has been a game-changer in my skincare routine, offering gentle yet effective exfoliation and hydration.

What sets this product apart is its formulation: the 5% lactic acid concentration provides a mild exfoliation that helps to improve skin texture and tone without causing irritation. Lactic acid is known for its ability to gently slough off dead skin cells, revealing smoother and brighter skin underneath.

The addition of hyaluronic acid (HA) further enhances its benefits by attracting and retaining moisture, keeping my skin hydrated and plump after exfoliation. This combination makes it suitable for those with dry or dehydrated skin looking to improve overall skin health.

I’ve noticed visible improvements in the appearance of my skin since incorporating this product into my routine. My complexion appears more even, with reduced dullness and fewer texture issues over time.

The packaging is practical and hygienic, with a dropper that dispenses the perfect amount of product. It’s also fragrance-free, which is ideal for sensitive skin types.

While it’s important to start slowly with exfoliating products to avoid over-exfoliation, I’ve experienced no adverse reactions with this formula.

Overall, The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA is a fantastic option for anyone seeking a gentle yet effective exfoliating treatment that delivers noticeable results. It’s affordable, easy to incorporate into a skincare regimen, and backed by The Ordinary’s commitment to simplicity and transparency in skincare.

I have been struggling with tretinoin for years. Everyone says how important it is, but I was frustrated with the constant flaking, which I called “face dandruff.” Not appealing! Well, it was a-peeling. I tried many exfoliants, including enzymes, scrubs, and a glycolic toner, but the toner was too harsh to use daily and the flaking persisted. My esthetician suggested a lactic acid, as it targets the surface skin and is gentler, so it could be used daily. Familiar with the Ordinary, I purchased this and have been using six nights per week, about an hour before applying the Retin-A. Flaking is gone and my skin is smooth!! I was about ready to give up on Retin-A, but this has fixed the problem. Already ordered another bottle.
