I got this as a barrier cream for my feeding tubes. It has worked well and I would purchase again. It helped heal my heavily damaged skin. Doesn’t take much to work. It’s not sticky or greasy.

Other lubricants such as Vaseline. It’s not too heavy but is heavier or thicker than most moisturizers. A little goes a long way. I’ve used it for several years and this product is part of my daily regime to limit the effects of severe eczema. Used in combination with other products, I have not had severe eczema outbreaks where I had to use prednisone since I began using Theraplex. Although I still have eczema, I believe this product is essential in keeping its effects in check. Love love love this product.

Now that I’ve been living in a colder dryer area of the country (although nothing like the the western states of this country, I find that my skin gets very dry. I wash my hands many times a day, and I’m always moisturizing them. I do use other good moisturizers, but I’m very picky about what I buy. For example, I tried the Blue Emu moisturizer, but I didn’t like having blue skin.
I like the fact that this particular styles has a moisture barrier. It helps a bit when I’m in the kitchen. My dog need a lot of love, so I have to stop and pet her when I’m cooking. My family is very fastidious about having dog hair in their food. (I can’t imagine any of us eating something that we knew had dog hair in it.) It’s not really the hair that’s the problem, it’s what’s on the hair.
So my hands are nice and soft almost all of the time. And that includes the summer, when I get very dirty working in the garden. It’s nice to have when I feel as if I just scrubbed all the skin off of my hands.
