This TPOB Metal Single Foil Shaver X Shaver Slime is HEAVY. It has been a long time since I’ve used a single foil shaver like this. Typically I use rotary shavers and they work okay. I will say the TPOB shaver works well enough with one day stubble, but it also seems loud. The reality of it is it must be a different frequency than my other shaver, because when I put a sound meter up to them they were only about half a dB off from each other.
What is really missing is some sort of sideburn trimmer, because this thing does not do well at all with anything over a day or two growth. Not having one means if I go too long I need to use a beard trimmer to get the hairs short enough for this.
Overall for me this is going to be a very specialized item, to shave next to my goatee. Because it doesn’t grab the longer hairs I can use it to get closer than I could with my other shaver. That is about it though. While it looks good and has a good weight to it, I can’t say that it is a very good shaver.

When you first pick this up you know it’s not a plastic piece of junk. Doesn’t shave as close a a blade razor and crème but it takes a fraction of the time and when you’re not going somewhere special it trying to cuddle with your lady. I’m happy to recommend it.

i thought it may have been the foil, so i took it off and tried it and it still didnt cut hair. i pressed hard. i tried all the things. very cute unit just doesn’t work at all. not worth your money. it also came sealed, however the unit itself was dirty and had dust/fuzz inside of it. i even tried to clean it out and use it. did not work. get something else, save your money

Love these foil shavers! They are real good for cleaning up around the ears but they also half out nicely! They are heavy, feel good, powerful! If TPOB made a double foil with the same power and quality, i would definitely buy!

Really excellent shaver. I prefer it over babyliss and over other shavers. Battery life is excellent and matches my TPOB set-up.

I was very happy with this shaver for the first few months. The foil lasted about 3 months before it started to deteriorate, and replacements were easy to find and not too expensive. Unfortunately today in the middle of shaving my head the unit decided to die. It was just recently charged, and plugging it in does nothing, so it’s definitely an issue with the unit. It’s pretty disappointing, as I really enjoyed the product, and it was built well. I will probably attempt fixing it by replacing the battery, but I expected a little longer lifespan.

I have had this for little over a month and th foil screen gold in color has split and now it really can’t be used because it rips your neck up. Is there a replacement screen for this? Please let me know if you are able to help me with this issue.

He visto muchos comentarios negativos, pero creo que esos comentarios son de gente que no son profesional en la barbería, si eres un verdadero barbero y lo quieres para tu negocio es una excelente opción, la comparé con una andis y es un poco más chica y más delgada, es un poco más pesada que la andis porque su cuerpo es de metal y eso me gusta, no me molesta su peso y se siente sólida y duradera, respecto a el sonido la TPOB es un poco más ruidosa que la andis pero no se nota mucho y eso es por que tiene más potencia y a la hora de usarla con cabello grueso no se atasca tanto como la andis y vi que muchos se quejaban porque no cortaba bien pero primero se pasa una trimmer y después la shaver. En conclusión, recomiendo mucho esta shaver tanto personalmente como profesionalmente pero para que haga bien su trabajo tienen que pasar una trimmer primero. Cómprala no te vas arrepentir
