This product is very pleasant to use, and i love the little rolling metal applicator. I applied it quite liberally as directed the first time i tried it (at night, and i did *colour outside the lines* of my lips) I have very deep vertical smokers lines in my upper lips, and some pretty deep ones on the bottom as well, and nothing, but NOTHING will shift them, or make them any shallower. I didn’t really expect that. But my lips themselves feel smooth and hydrated.
This isn’t like a lip balm, nor like a gloss, though it is somewhat glossy on application, and it’s really not a noticeable bright colour. It tastes awful if you get it in your mouth though. But it does make your actual lip area look smoother, and have less “peely bits”
Despite the pros, the price is offputting. Even with all of the good ingredients contained within. I like it, but probably wouldn’t get it again.

My lips are black holes for moisture! Where does it go? No idea. This product immediately makes even my lips, look moist and less wrinkled. The tint is just enough. I don’t really like a garish color. Would rather look like my lips are NOT naturally washed out, pale, corpse lips.
The instructions mention using the untinted compound at night, and covering the area just adjacent to the lips. Why have I never thought of that before. My wrinkled old lady lips can benefit from that for sure! But, I did not use this tinted product at night.
My daytime experience has been mixed, thus the removal of that coveted 5th star. Yes, it makes my lips look and feel very nice. But, it disappears quickly, the fault of my lips… AND it leaves a distinct taste in my mouth, even though the product is unflavored. It’s just a slight, yucky, ghost of a flavor, and I’m having a difficult time overcoming it so that I can give this product time to work some long term magic.
I’m leaving it at that, and will update the review if it improves, or worsens.

My lips are always thirsty. They get cracked, peel, look wrinkly, and are always soaking up whatever balm or butter I soak on them. Hence, I was very interested in what makes this lip compound from U Beauty better than my daily lip balm.
I now understand why. The ingredients are excellent and use premium ingredients such as shea butter, sweet almond oil, hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP, squalane, and a slew of peptides. These are all known to hydrate the driest of skin and the same logic applies to the lips. I received the shade IDOL which is a very light sheer pink watermelon that has a high glossy shine to it. The metal applicator makes applying the product very easy and it is easy to keep clean.
I’ve been using this for several days now and my lips don’t need constant lip balm after a few days. I notice they retain moisture better. This is a luxury beauty item of course. You can find ones for less but if you have the money to splurge, this is a luxury item that DOES work. I recommend it only if you can afford it.

This is a lip gloss first and foremost. The color “Idol” has no tint at all on me, not the “fresh-squeezed watermelon for a high-octane pop” I’d hoped for. It might as well be clear on my light-medium skin. The box is bigger than it needs to be for a standard sized tube, but I appreciate that it’s all paper. It says it’s made in Italy. The gloss stayed on for a couple of hours without eating. I love lip stains that provide long lasting color, but I don’t like the look or feel of gloss, so I don’t think I’ll use this one.
I didn’t notice any plumping effect at all, but I also didn’t experience dry lips from use, which is good. The price is exorbitant to me. Unless you’re a fan of the owner, and want to support her social media brand, you’re better off spending far less for a name brand gloss at the drugstore.

I am trying this lip gloss in the shade IDOL. It is a sheer neutral/pink color that looks very natural on my lips. Just before trying this lip gloss I had unusually dry and peeling mouth. I have been using this beauty lip compound for about 10 days, and my lips are completely smooth not peeling and no longer crinkly.
One thing to note is that on the photos showing the different colors available – All of the models have very plump, full lips. This lip gloss will not give you a model-esque mouth that have had cosmetic work. But it will help fill out the dips and crinkles that are in your existing mouth. So in other words, it will help fill up what’s there but you will not get larger poofy lips beyond that. So on the bright side, you don’t have to worry about looking like Donald Duck after using this. It will just enhance your lips nicely.
One star deducted because the taste isn’t great. It leaves it kind of heavy oily taste in your mouth if you accidentally lick your lips.

This lip gloss provides a light pink, subtle tint color for my lips with a little bit of shine once I applied this to my lips. I like the angled nature of the lip applicator making it easy to glide across my lips and comfortable. As I said, the pink tint color is very light, making it natural looking instead of in your face lip coloring. There is a mild scent to this lip gloss but not overwhelming. Once applied, there is a very slight tingle to my lips as if there may be menthol or peppermint in the lip gloss. The taste of this lip gloss is not pleasant so try not to lick your lips while this product is on. It’s a yucky bitter like taste so it is not flavored, lol. My lips look shiny, moisturized, although I can still see the lines on my lips so this did not smooth those out. The price is not something to write home about as I found it to be quite steep at $68 at the time of this review.

I don’t usually wear lipstick so I was kinda worried about the color but when you apply it you can’t even see the color, it has a nice texture and the flavor is not too bad. It definitely made my lips look more hydrated but I didn’t see any plumping.
