I waited until the sonicator cleaner I ordered came in to write this review.
I try to keep my jewelry clean. I have silver dip for the silver jewelry, and a really good jewelry cloth for the gold. I also sometimes clean things with all-purpose cleaner and a toothbrush.
That being said, I have a few pieces that I just can’t get entirely clean. Usually, it’s due to dirt stuck in deep crevices. So, I decided to take the plunge and get a sonicator.
The sonicator is quite small. I could only put in a few pieces at once (because I didn’t want them touching each other).
Few tips for use: Definitely invest in a cleaner. They’re not expensive but work well.
It comes with a little basket to put the items in. You MUST use the basket. Putting anything directly on the bottom of the bath might break the machine.
It has several functions, including a jewelry button. That’s the one I used. It automatically turns off after 3 minutes.
Finally, there’s a bunch of stuff that shouldn’t go in sonicators – soft stones (emeralds, pearls, lapis, coral, stones with inclusions, stones with color enhancement (like colored cubic zirconia), silver with oxidation designs… Basically, you have to do your homework and double check online before putting anything in there.
Back to my experience… Wow folks, just wow. I began with semi-clean jewelry. This thing managed to get the residue near the prongs of stones off. My rings look brand new. Then, I went off to old gold chains with crevices. They now gleam! Off to my silver tennis bracelet – now all stones are sparkly and no tarnish between links anymore. Then I decided to REALLY challenge the machine. I put in a silver collar necklace that is dull and grey. silver polish and dip has done nothing for it. My jewelry cloth was also conquered by it.
Because the well is so small, I had to submerge only 1/3 of the necklace in at a time. The patience of waiting 9 minutes was so worth it! This necklace is now shiny and new… it will be the first time I can wear it in over 20 years!
Just get this thing. You won’t regret it.

I have owned several ultrasonic cleaners over the years. There’s nothing quite like the one-two punch of a great cleaning product and the sonic agitation that these cleaners provide. This particular model is on the smallish side, the largest item that might fit into it being a pair of glasses. It arrives in a cellphone-style box and has all of its accessories tucked inside. Happily, a full power supply (“wall wart”) is included, along with a lot of niceties like a cleaning brush, microfiber cleaning cloth, jewelry stand and plastic tweezers for small items.
I found it amusing that there are stickers on the face of the unit, a bit like home electronics back in the day, explaining the single button operation and indicators. Yes, these can be removed. Once plugged-in, the power indicator lights up without the need to be activated. Instead, pressing it changes the cleaning mode. There’s four of them, depending on the item(s) being cleaned. For my test, I chose the most brutally nasty job I have for a cleaner: my denture. I fell asleep with it the night before, so it was going to be one tough test!
The denture JU-U-U-UST fits and it’s possible to fill the tank enough to cover the denture without exceeding the max water/cleaner level. [NOTE: There are dire warnings against getting the unit wet or using it in a wet environment. This gives me pause, as I keep mine on a bathroom sink.] Activating the unit produces the agitation, and if the top is off, you can see a distinct pattern on the surface of the water; the ultrasonic effect. When finished, the unit shuts itself off.
Two things about this cleaner make me very happy. First, the word “ultrasonic” means that any sound is supposed to be outside the normal range of human hearing, and I’ve had other units that sound awful. (One was actually painful to be in the room with!) This one is super quiet. As you might be able to hear in the video, the sound of my dishwasher is louder than the cleaner, and it is across the room! The second thing that made me happy was that my denture came out sparkly clean! Anything else is going to be a breeze, by comparison.
Final verdict: a great, easy to use ultrasonic cleaner at a great price.

I’ve been frustrated with cleaning my Invisalign trays. Brushing soaking helps, but still there seems to be some buildup.
This product is EASY to use. Incredibly effective in cleaning!
