This product works great. Don’t waste your money on the more expensive brands. I forgot to take a before picture but as you can see my retainer is clear and perfectly clean. They are a couple years old. Totally happy with my purchase, glad I didn’t spend 100 dollars on the other ones I was seeing online.

We have had several pricey years with 2 kids in braces and now have 2 kids with retainers. And my kids are about as good at cleaning their appliances as they are at cleaning their rooms. My oldest kid has a set of Invisalign and was told to soak them in vinegar, and with traditional retainers, they are supposed to brush them with a tooth brush. Regardless, their appliances look icky and I knew there had to be a better way to get rid of the sticky germs that were really grossing me out. So I found this ultrasonic cleaner thing on Amazon. It literally could not be simpler. All it takes is just water (no chemicals, love it) There is a max fill line so the kids can’t mess that up. There’s tweezers to put your piece in. Press the button 1x for regular ultrasonic cleaning, 2x to add uv sterilization (yes). Takes 5-10 minutes. Just pour out the dirty water. (After the first cleaning, I was a grossed out to see the dirty water but even more glad we had gotten it- last photo is of the Dirty water from another cleaning – cloudy, dirty, it’s super gross what comes off of there) It Barely makes any noise or takes up much counter space. Travels easy if needed. Especially with cold and flu season, it’s a relief to be able to get things extra clean now. Bonus, there was a coupon when I got it, not that it’s that expensive to begin with. Absolute worth it for piece of mind and ease. I recommend it to my Orthodontist office and all my friends with kiddos in braces. There’s been a lot of technology upgrades in braces, this is the upgrade for retainer cleaning.

My retainers feel super clean after running a cycle with this machine. There are some debris left in the water after cleaning (as pictured). I would recommend this product and look forward to using this for regular, retainer cleaning!
