My son hates to do his hair. He hates to put gel in it, get his hands all greasy this powder goes on so nicely, and he can just brush it in or uses hands with little to no residue on his hands afterwards for washing a definite buy for someone, who hates gel

This works perfectly – it’s like getting salt water spray but with more gel mixed in. It gives the hair a good matte look and is semi-pliable. Emphasis on semi, because it’s actually not that easy to work once it starts sticking together. If you’re looking to get a bit more volume while still having hold and a natural look this is better than clay, wax or pomade. Didn’t even need to blow dry the hair to style, just apply to dry hair in the morning and style.
There are two cons though:
– There’s not a lot in the small tin. Even knowing that before ordering, I was surprised at how many applications this actually meant. Likely will last just about a month w/ work day use (for those Zoom calls).
– The powder is…well powedery. It can get airborne pretty quickly, and as such I’ve inhaled the powder a few times and it’s caused me to cough. Be careful when applying.
Other than that – it’s a solid choice for a reasonable price in the category.

Thai product works great! It gives the volume and texture my kids want. If you don’t like the heaviness the gel leaves, this product is for you! We are in our second bottle.

I am 37 and have had thinning hair for a number of years. The focus is on the crown but overall it is more diffuse thinning. While I still do have complete coverage this helps fill in areas that you can see more scalp than I would like. Powder was originally recommended by my barber, and I can’t recommend it enough. It goes on easy, gives good hold, and a matte/natural finish. If you are worried about wind, or really want your hair style locked in than I would add hair spray as well. I recently used this for my wedding, and added a bit of hair spray to make sure little wispy hairs didn’t escape. We were in gusty wind most of the day and it stayed in place mostly, and when it did get disheveled, I was able to easily restyle it to desired look again. Any powder works honestly, my barber uses Slick Gorilla but this worked as well.

My fine blonde hair is usually anywhere between 2-3 inches in length and very short on the sides and back, might be called a fade, not really sure on the terms, i cut it myself.
This and one other brand is my favorite and to close to choose.
I sprinkle a little bit on my palm and fingers and rub together gently then rub into my hair starting on the top and sides then go to the front.
Quick and easy to use, never going back to clays again.
I don’t need to use any other product with this.
Washes out easily.
Great value.
Highly recommend.

I buy a lot of Duke Cannon product so Facebook’s algorithm turned me on to this product. So, I tried it because I like any product that will shape my hair, keep it locked in for hours, and be able to give that dry (non-greasy) look. So, it bought a can.
First impression is there’s not much powder in that small can for the $18 price tag, but if it works, I’ll look past the cost. I watched a couple “how to’s” on YouTube and went to work. First attempt, I had been about 3 hours since my last shower, which I thought was close enough amount of time, and it shaped my hair, but didn’t hold for long at all. Maybe 30 minutes. I’m not a super stylish guy (think Ron Burgundy’s hairstyle on a much less cooler guy!!), so I didn’t have any outrageous hold I was looking for. When I go to brush it, that’s where I almost threw the bottle away. My hair felt so knitted up, that I tried my wife’s brush (metal teeth), daughter’s brush (Frozen 2 Elsa brush with plastic, more forgiving) teeth and neither was breaking through. Next, I used my thick metal beard comb and it broke through PLUS it allowed me to shape it the way I was originally going for. At that point though, it was driving me so crazy that I had to have it out of my hair. So, I shampoo’d it for a good two minutes and it felt like I got most of the product out then the conditioner seemed to soften my hair back to normal. Expect your hair to feel like you swam in the sea the let your hair air dry afterwards.
The next day, I shower and once I get out, I blow dry my hair (I rarely ever do this, so that was a bit of a pain) and make sure my hair is extremely clean and still warm. Applied the powder directly and it worked pretty good at shaping into my hairstyle without feeling like dried seawater mentioned in my previous paragraph. So, I think applying it to a freshly washed and blow dried maim of hair is the way to go, as far as applying it. However, I go to the park with the kid and she plays for a couple hours and when I left, I noticed my hair was a little sweaty and it was a beast to get a comb through It, so that concerns me as the Alabama summer is threatening to bring its life-sucking humidity with it. But, once it seemed to dry off, it was brushable again.
I’m going to give the rest of the bottle a trial run but at present, it’s looking like I’m not going to be a repeat customer.
I’m not sure how to best do this, but it’d be very helpful it these guy’s marketing department put together some promo videos that had best practices/how to instructions. The videos I have seen kind of touch on the “how to” but stop just short of useful information. For example, their video says “you just open the can and drop in some powder”….how much is “some”? Where’s the best application spots in the hair (near the crown or along the crease? I hate to namedropping your competition, but Duke Cannon is my go to for stuff like this and their YouTube videos kick ass because (1) it comes off as two buddies talking about what the use and (2) they use descriptors like “the size of a nickel’s worth of beard balm” or “a cap full of the body wash” etc.

I’m not sure how I never used this stuff. I usually order from uppercut direct but I ran out and needed just this, so I ordered it on Amazon. It adds great texture and hold, and you almost barely need any product after using it. I always have this on hand
