Oh, boy. I’m all over the place about this skincare cream. I do like this stuff, but, for me, I need to be careful about when I use this.
First off, the cream itself has a yellowish color and looks as though it contains turmeric. It doesn’t, but I did check because it does have that look. That would be fine providing that it doesn’t tint my skin as some do and make me look sickly. Well, this did not turn my skin any really weird looking turmeric stained color; however, I did notice it darken my skin a bit. For comparison’s sake, I’m a somewhat fair skinned white woman. Almost immediately, I noticed that my skin looked a bit darker, though not at all as though I had applied any sort of makeup or other substance to my skin. It actually looked very natural. For my personal skin type, it looked to me as though I had been out in the sun and got a decent tan. It wasn’t fresh and red looking, nor orange in anyway. It kind of looked like I had been in the sun and the tan had set days ago. I actually liked the color. Why this did this to my skin, I have no idea and doubt that it’s supposed to do so. Looked to me like a healthy tan. That color though did go away the next day and does not linger. Was not at all irritating, sore or drying as a real tan can be.
This cream is dense, though also goes on somewhat thin. Absorbs well, but will leave the skin feeling oily. A lot like some good night creams formulated for mature skin. Because of that, I will not use this as a night cream because as a side sleeper, it ruins my pillowcases. Instead, this is something that I will treat myself to on what I call a spa day. Those days when I’m staying in for many hours and can allow myself the luxury of letting my skin be treated with such an oily substance that provides me with a deep skincare treatment. If I need to up and go out, I can just take a towel and blot off the excess and all will be fine.
It does provide the skin with lots of moisturization because of all of the emollients. Softens the skin and is very soothing. After many hours, that oiliness will fully absorb and go away, but you will most likely need to blot any excess away if that’s not what you want.
This product is best for those with normal to dry skin with it being best for those with extra dry and mature skin.
