  • ABOUT THE PRODUCT: Urban Skin Rx HyperCorrect Intense Fading Cream is a powerful antioxidant pre-cleanse treatment that fades the look of stubborn hyperpigmentation, including discoloration caused by melasma and uneven skin tone. A critical first step in your daily skincare routine, this lightweight cream delivers antioxidant protection against environmental stressors, helping smooth and soften the feel of rough texture for bright and even skin tone.
  • WHY YOU NEED THIS: Formulated with key ingredients like 5% Cysteamine, 1% Niacinamide and Vitamin E, this antioxidant-rich HyperCorrect Intense Fading Cream improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation, smooths fine lines and wrinkles and evens the look of skin tone. Ideal for anyone with stubborn hyperpigmentation, melasma, post-acne scars, uneven skin tone or rough texture and aging concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles.
  • HOW TO USE: Use once a day before cleansing. Apply a thin layer to dry skin and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. It is normal to experience a mild tingling or warming sensation. Thoroughly rinse off using the appropriate cleanser for your skin type. Follow with a moisturizer. If used in the morning, follow with a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. To avoid irritation, use Cysteamine by itself for the first week without Benzoyl Peroxide, high levels of AHAs/BHAs, or Retinol/Vitamin A.
  • CAREFULLY FORMULATED: This innovative wash-off treatment contains a powerful blend of 5% Cysteamine, a cutting-edge ingredient that has shown significant efficacy in improving the appearance of stubborn hyperpigmentation plus 1% Niacinamide and Vitamin E to target dark spots and minimize the visible signs of premature aging. This white/off-white cream is lightweight with a STRONG SULFUR-LIKE ODOR. With daily use, your skin will feel smoother and your complexion will look more even-toned.
  • ABOUT US: Urban Skin Rx, an unparalleled line of skincare products for diverse skin tones, was developed by Rachel Roff, a highly successful licensed medical aesthetician, laser technician and founder of one of the country’s first medspa and laser centers specializing in darker skin tones. After noticing an inequality in diversity within the skincare industry, she’s spent years formulating high-performance products designed to address the most common concerns of people with melanin-rich skin.

Save your money!! If you’re looking for an alternative to hydroquinone this is not it. I used the whole tube and it made my skin worse. It smelled so horrible that it made me lightheaded. My skin became blistered when I used it locally and left me with dark blotches.

  2. East Mountain curls

Smells like sulfur. Works magic. I’ve used consistently now for 7 weeks and my hyperpigmentation is so much lighter. I’m on auto delivery !!

  3. Sue Karimi

The cream applys easily has good consistency. The pump is 50/50 works sometimes and doesn’t work other times. The smell is the biggest issue. Smells really bad. Can’t use it as part of my night routine. I haven’t used it long enough to know whether it’s effective

I have only had this for a few days so I’ll need to update regarding results but initial comments are that I identified what this product smells like fairly quickly as it is one that I like. It smells like burning flesh (not rotting eggs at all)….. Think after a long day at the beach what your skin smells like. It reminds me of the that and I love the beach so I like it. I did not experience any tingling or irritation and I have very sensitive skin! Lastly my only other comment is that this is very expensive for such a small amount. If this proves to work well I only wish they had larger sizes for a reduced $/oz price.

Yes, the smell is not great, but after using for 2 months I am seeing a positive change in my skin tone. I am in my 40’s and have some large melasma spots on my cheeks, nose and along the jawline, and I am starting to notice a difference in how dark the spots are. Overall, my skintone is becoming much more even. I use this first thing in the morning for 20 minutes, before I wash my face. I have sensitive skin and using hydroquinone is not an option for me, but I have not noticed any adverse reactions to this product. Compared to similar products, this is very reasonably priced.

I’ll begin by noting that my melasma wasn’t terrible but a patch on my forehead that appeared suddenly about three years ago due to a high estrogen birth control pill especially bothered me.

Hydroquinone didn’t work for me. Tried kojic acid next, also a bust. I’ve been using this cysteamine cream about three months now and it’s definitely fading the mottled spots. I used it as directed first but eventually began washing the treated areas before and after to allow greater absorption.

Melasma is notoriously difficult to treat but cysteamine seems effective for a good chunk of sufferers. It takes time abd I believe you’ll need to continue using it as once melanocyte activity is upregulated it’s basically permanent but cysteamine (like most other melasma treatments) interrupts the enzymatic process that results in pigment production.

    Good luck, guys!

I was hesitant to try, but after research and reading reviews, I decided to try. This cream is very gentle with like a lotion consistency. It does have a light chemical smell at the beginning, but quickly fades. I use this mask 15 minutes prior to getting in the shower and just wash off in the shower. Very simple. I do have sensitive skin and this has not caused any irritation. I have been using this for a few weeks and so far so good.

I have been burned on so many things, I think I have a pretty low bar of expectations, but I had hoped for better results
