I have the most sensitive skin and was recommended Vanicream products. I decided to try this shaving cream. This is a great product, and I have been using it for about a month. It is truly so moisturizing, non-irritating, and I get the closest shave. The only drawback is that it comically smells like fritos or corn chips lol. The odor is pretty strong. I double cleanse in my skincare routine, so to combat the smell, I just save my 2nd cleanse for after shaving to get rid of the product smell. It honestly works great!

I’m not sure why everyone mentions the bad smell of this product, because I think it is quite neutral. I was trepidatious buying it because of the reviews, although I’m glad I did. I can’t use any products with dye or scents and this is a real godsend.

At last my search is over for a clean simple and affordable all natural fragrance free no soap shave cream that gives a great shave and leaves my skin feeling super soft and comfortable! Apparently this is a lot to ask because I have been trying to find it ever since Origins discontinued their fantastic Blade Runner. Thank you Vanicream, I will forever be your customer.

Just my experience here – this product may be great for others. I think this shaving cream physically stinks/smells bad and it did burn my face. I have two different shaving creams I use and dont have any issues wth them burning my face. I saw this one and how natural/free of bad chemicals it was and wanted to try it. I tried it three different times (in between shaving with my other normal shaving creams) and had bad results all three times. In the trash it went. My wife and son use some of their other products and like them. Good company, just this one item is a no-go (for me).

Pluses: The cream keeps your face moist and allows a good close shave.
Minuses: Kind of expensive compared to canned foam shaving cream. Lasts a small fraction of the number of shaves I got from the canned products.
The opening in the tube is kind of small, and it can be kind of a pain to squeeze the cream out. I’m about half way done with the tube, and I can see that I’ll probably end up throwing cream away that I couldn’t get out of the tube. I’ll try to find a product in a jar the next time.
Non of these “unscented” products are truly odorless. This one has a vague industrial chemical smell to it. It would be tolerable if there were no container issues.
All things considered, I won’t be buying it again.
