I have extremely thick,easily damaged, super tangly, shoulder length 4c hair. My hair is kinky and curly and must have moisture. I have been trying to find my holy grail hair products for wash day so that my shower and bathroom cabinets won’t be filled with a zillion different shampoos and conditioners.
The Verb Hydrate duo comes in large bottles with pumps. You get a lot of product and I love that! Both shampoo and conditioner are fragrance heavy which I enjoy but if you are scent sensitive, you may be displeased.
The shampoo: I read the directions, used my usual clarifying shampoo, and then used the Verb shampoo. This stuff does not lather well in my hair even after clarifying first so I think I used more than I needed to trying to get ‘lather’. After the third time using the shampoo I realized I wasn’t going to get suds and that was fine. My hair felt ok, not really hydrated so I really wasn’t impressed.
The conditioner: YES! The conditioner is rich, thick, and smells heavenly. My strands really liked this formula and it was easy to run my fingers through my hair in the shower. If you have fine hair, it may seem kind of heavy and my first time using it I felt like I had to rinse longer to get it all out. After using it a couple of times I know that a little goes a long way. After use, my hair felt soft and my curls felt juicy and hydrated.
I would definitely purchase the Verb hydrate conditioner based on my hair type and needs but would not order the shampoo again.

I have very long hair. Very long. I use Amina products until my son bought this. The hydro conditioner is the best I’ve used. Love it

So I do have bleached hair. My previous shampoo/conditioner combo was great at keeping my hair healthy, just a little expensive. This stuff smells like alcohol, and makes my hair feel like cotton. Like yes soft, but also dry. Very dry. Definitely do not recommend.

They recently changed the formula and you can really tell. The shampoo was previously very silky and lightweight. The new formula is much thicker and heavy. It just leaves the hair with a different feel. Not really oily but not the light, clean feeling I’m looking for. New formula no longer fits my needs.

I used this company for a long time, it made my hair super soft and was great for my scalp. ever since they changed the formula and added scent (the main reason i got was it was fragrance free) it left me with extremely dry hair and left my scalp red and itchy. shame they had to change a perfectly good line when they could have just made a separate line for scent

I have naturally curly hair. I mean like, ringlet curly hair and of course anything can make my hair frizzy. Although pricey, I decided to try and I am so glad I did. I live in Louisiana so the humidity over here is terrible.. anyway, I tried this for a week. The results are silly crazy. I would put Paul Mitchell skinny serum in my hair along with Paul Mitchell moose to control frizz. Now I am just using the serum. My hair is soft bouncy med size ringlets.. I Love this stuff! Will never go back to anything else!

I use this to wash and condition my hair–and use the conditioner when I shave my legs. It is all good!
