I wanted to give it a 3, but it technically does its job. I am trying to grow in a beard, and wanted to try this as a product to help it look fuller before it grows in more. Really though, it’s more of a makeup pen for the skin underneath when I was expecting something akin to mascara for the hairs. It’s not bad in the final result, but I had to dab and fix problem areas with a wet paper towel. The biggest downside is that the tips dry out by the time you’re done half your face. Maybe I used too much? It just seems unfortunate that its just drawing paint on your skin that takes 15 minutes to apply because the tip dries out halfway through the first use.

If your hair is a darker red color, I would probably shy away from this product. I’ve met other gingers with hair this shade, but unless you exist on the very lightest extremes of red hair this likely will not smoothly match your hair. It’s possible to blend into darker hair if your existing hair is thick enough to mask the texture, but it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

Unless your hair and beard is sandy blonde, don’t get brown. Very light brown and way lighter than my brown beard color, haven’t tried black but probably closer to my brown beard than their brown color.
