I recently purchased the Wahl Clipper USA Color Pro Complete Haircutting Kit, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. As someone who prefers to cut hair at home, I was looking for a reliable set of clippers that would give me professional results without breaking the bank. The Color Pro kit exceeded my expectations in every way.

First and foremost, the color-coded guide combs are a game-changer. With 12 combs ranging multiple length, each color-coded for easy identification, it’s virtually foolproof to achieve the desired hair length. This feature is especially handy for beginners or those who may be cutting hair for multiple people with different preferences.

The clippers themselves are lightweight yet sturdy, making them comfortable to hold for extended periods. The self-sharpening, high-carbon steel blades glide effortlessly through hair, resulting in clean, precise cuts every time. I’ve used them on various hair types, from fine to coarse, and they perform admirably across the board.

I appreciate is the inclusion of accessories such as scissors, a styling comb, cleaning brush, and blade oil. These extras enhance the overall value of the kit and ensure that everything needed for a successful haircut is conveniently at hand.

One of the standout features of this kit is its versatility. Whether I’m trimming my own hair, giving a friend a quick touch-up, or even grooming my pets, these clippers handle the task with ease. The adjustable taper lever allows for seamless blending and fading, giving me full control over the final result.

In terms of durability, the Wahl Clipper USA Color Pro Complete Haircutting Kit doesn’t disappoint. Despite regular use, the clippers have maintained their performance and sharpness without any signs of wear. This reliability gives me confidence that this kit will continue to serve me well for years to come.

Overall, I highly recommend the Wahl Clipper USA Color Pro Complete Haircutting Kit to anyone in search of a quality set of clippers at an affordable price.

I bought the identical Wahl Clipper back in 1998(square box on left). They finally stopped working this year. Been cutting my own hair since 1998 too. The clipper works flawlessly. Super solid construction. There’s nothing cheap in this box. The clipper attachments are made of solid hard plastic, they will never break unless you try to break them intentionally. The box comes with even more attachments than it did in 1998. They also include a bib for hair cutting. There’s attachments for eyebrows also. I use it for my hair, ears, beard and mustache, and for grooming down below. Before you use them, be sure to oil the clippers with the oil included. I oil the clippers every 6 months. Clean clippers with the included brush after each use. This new clipper should last me till the end of days. One of the best purchases I ever made in my entire life.

Muy buen producto, la máquina funciona y corta excelente. El patrón de colores es muy útil.

Runs very smoothly! Love the brush it comes with to clean it up too. The cape ties ripped on the first use so that’s not very durable, but I’m still very pleased with the product. It’s easy to use and does the job.

Not fancy but does the job just fine. Easy to use.

I just did my very first DIY haircut at home with these clippers. I am very satisfied with the end result. However, as a complete beginner, I found the instructions sorely lacking, resulting in a frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming initial setup process. (Note – I’m an engineer) I elaborate below.

    ———- Negatives ————-

After moistening my hair and clipping on a guard comb of the desired length, I began trying to cut some hair off, but all it did was pull on my hair … very little hair actually came off. I tried adjusting the taper lever, without any luck. I tried the smallest guard comb, and no luck. Finally, I noticed that the clippers were not making much noise, which is when it dawned on me that they may not be getting enough power. So, I adjusted the power screw per the quick start guide. No luck. I wasted 20 minutes till I figured out the following.

Power Screw (see quick start guide to find the screw) – Note that, out of the box, you *must* adjust the power screw on the clippers to get adequate power before the clippers will do any cutting. If this is not done, the clippers will make a mellow humming sound and will simply pull on your hair and not do any cutting. The instructions make it sound like this is an optional step. It is an absolute necessity !

Contrary to the instructions, the end of the cleaning brush is not sturdy enough to turn the power screw. You must use a wide flathead screwdriver. Also, the instructions tell you to first turn the screw clockwise and then turn counter-clockwise when you “hear clattering”. This is nonsense. I tried this many times and I still didn’t have adequate power.

What worked for me is this – Keep turning the power screw clockwise till it is LOUD … and I mean loud enough to scare a grown man and more than loud enough to annoy the person in an adjacent room. Then try cutting some hair off. If it comes off effortlessly without pulling, you have enough power. Then, try adjusting the screw counter-clockwise to reduce the noise level, but after every such adjustment, try to cut some hair … if it no longer cuts hair, turn it clockwise again for more power. When you find the quietest setting that is powerful enough to cut hair without pulling it, you’ve reached the optimum setting for you.

The provided cape is a joke, as many have noted. A large trash bag will do a better job.

Finally, I would really like bigger size guard combs than the largest #8 (1 inch), because I often like to keep volume on top (2 inches) … I would really like to see them include guard combs all the way to #16 (2 inches). I don’t mind paying a little more. The #8 is suitable for short hair cuts, not for longer ones.

    ———- Positives ————-

The machine itself, however, and the guard combs look sturdily built and did a great job ! I also liked the provided scissors and used them for a little touch up in areas the clipper found it hard to cut. The (larger) cleaning brush is very nice and effectively wipes away hair from the clipper and the guard combs.

Overall, this is a very nice set for the money, and I’m confident it will last long enough to be a good investment. Just be patient and make sure to set it up properly prior to use.

I’ve been cutting my hair since I was about 14 or 15 years old.. I’m 31. I’ve had conair clippers before. It was all chrome and had a turbo button. Cut my whole head in about a minute. I’ve had Andis t liner. I’ve had and have a whal pair from the beginning. I still got this thing. I barley oil it and it’s stronger than ever. Just a slight rattle and I don’t care because I only used it for my beard and stuff. This pair of whal clippers…. first hair cut. Stiff… sharp… food quality. Cut hairs easily. I got it mostly because the tapper but I wanna do faces. I highly recommend this. I always cut my hair a size 2. I cut it a size 3 and surd the left and right ear tapper and it came out very clean. Had very good consistent power and performance and the size fits perfectly in your hand.

It’s 110 Volts trimmer and not suitable for India. Despite using it with 110v to 220v Converter, its motor gone in the first use itself. No way to return and the Servicing centre don’t accept it as it’s not an Indian product.
    Total waste of money.
