I’ve owned several Wahl trimmer products through the decades, and have always liked the durability, performance, and value I have received. A few years ago I went with another major brand, and it didn’t seem to preform as well as I expected. But it said it was indestructible and it was a gift so I kept using it, not even realizing it was running worse over time. Well I purchased this set and now realize what I had been missing. Night and day! I’ll never stray again.

This trimmer works really well, stays sharp, cuts well, does rounded angles, does straight lines, nice compact size ,easy to handle…The problem I had is after about 7 months of use the battery started dying and quit holding a charge…It happened slowly at first. It would hold a charge for 25 minutes then only 20 then only 10 minutes…Today even if I leave it plugged in while using it, the battery runs down after 12 minutes use and I have to wait for 7 hours charging time before I can use it again even if left plug in. I’ve also had a hard time finding a replacement, they are either too big, and bulky,
not sharp enough or non rechargeable.

This is a very nice trimmer at a budget price, and it completely changed my perception of what a Ni-Cd powered trimmer could be.
My only other experience with a Ni-Cd powered trimmer was the gawdawful Remington PG6020, which I thought I was getting at a good price at my local Kohls. They charged $22 for it a full price, and I used one of those $10 gift cards they periodically mail to houses in my neighborhood to bring it down to around $13. Holy cow that was a waste of money. The attachments were hard to use, most of them were useless, and the trimmer was only usable for a couple of minutes after several hours of charging. I used it once, lost the charger somewhere, and decided to cut my losses and just chuck that piece of crap.
That little episode impressed some thoughts into me: 1) That despite the cool premium-sounding name, Remington is willing to release a completely crap product to the masses, and 2) Kohls is as crappy a department store as I expected when they first moved into my neighborhood if they had the gall to sell that trimmer. Nowadays, I only go there to spend those $10 gift cards on socks because most other things in that store are just too expensive and not worth the asking price.
Anyway, onto this Wahl. After a few months of usage, I’m quite impressed by it.
First off, though the instructions say to charge overnight before use, the trimmer had enough battery power for your first trim coming right out of the box. (I would still follow the instructions and charge it first.) And indeed, that battery power is no fluke. So far, I’ve been able to use this Wahl trimmer on average 1.5 months before needing to charge it (I typically trim 1-3 times a week). Not too shabby.
The trimmer itself is quite powerful, and, with or without the included combs, will make short work of trimming even the hardest and most stubborn hairs on your face. And though it’s a bit loud, you’re not living with this noise 24/7, so why should you care so much about how much noise it makes while trimming?
And one of the best attributes is that you can use this trimmer when its battery has drained and is being charged, something that POS Remington couldn’t do.
Overall, I really can’t ask more from a trimmer at this price.
I can only think of a few negatives, one being the quality of the included combs. They’re made of a pretty cheap and hard plastic as other reviews have stated. I try to be gentle and not rip them off the trimmer to prolong their life.
The packaging that the trimmer comes in is also a pain in the butt to take off, and potentially dangerous as you’re opening it. Don’t rip through it to get to your new trimmer, or you might suffer a nasty cut from a sharp plastic packaging edge.

The trimmer is great. Very powerful and sharp. I’ve never had any problems with it clogging or pulling. Battery life seems to last a long time.
The only problem I have with it, is it’s so loud! I’m not kidding when I say I’m considering wearing ear plugs when I’m just doing routine beard trimming. Otherwise great trimmer.

Pretty impressed for the price. The whole unit is plastic so don’t let the “chrome” fool you but the good thing is they’re very powerful when compared to others at this price point. The clips are a bit flimsy though so I’m not sure how long they will last but overall good so far.

I bought this in 2016 and threw it away about a month ago. The issue was that the guard started occasionally popping off mid trim, which is not good! The first pic is how I rigged it to not pop off and I even emailed WAHL about it with a suggestion on the fix. Well, after a while it would STILL pop off, even with my rigged contraption. About a month ago I picked out a replacement for it and the replacement trimmer was horrible! So, after searching all night without really finding anything I decided to order another WAHL and I was going to Gorilla Glue the guard on (the devil that I know kind of thing). Then I got the new WAHL and was so happy! They have made an alteration that has fixed the issue! If you look at the second pic close you will see, right in the middle there is a part of the guard that locks into a little gap in the shaft that makes it very secure. Now this is an absolute beast! With that fix, this is probably the best trimmer out there – it’s like a tank and gets very close to every angle you have on your face to give a great trim. Good job WAHL! Now, just give me a penny for every new one sold for the tip – LOL.

Le produit en lui même est d’une qualité navrante, corps en plastique, lame de mauvaise facture, guide de coupe avec un système de fixation qui sera certainement cassé dans moins d’un mois, pochette de transport en plastique tissé le moins cher possible; bouton d’allumage fragile.
Petite blague supplémentaire, le chargeur n’est pas adapté au prise FR/CE.
Tout est de piètre qualité pour un prix élevé, je suis extrêmement déçu de cet achat.
Je ne le recommande pas.
