The Waterpik Aquarius water flosser has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. It operates flawlessly every day, providing a thorough and customizable clean with its 10 pressure settings. The built-in timer and pacer are incredibly useful for ensuring I floss for the recommended duration.

The large reservoir allows for over 90 seconds of uninterrupted use, and the small, maneuverable wand makes it easy to reach all areas of my mouth, including the back teeth. The included tips and the convenience of the water on/off switch add to its practicality.

Dentists recommend Waterpik for a reason—the combination of water pressure and pulsations effectively removes plaque and bacteria, contributing to better oral health. Plus, it’s backed by a solid 3-year warranty, which adds peace of mind.

Overall, I love this water flosser for its performance and ease of use. It has made maintaining my oral hygiene both efficient and enjoyable.

    PROS:
    – Great product. I previously owned an off-brand version of the Waterpik, but after buying the brand name, I quickly realized that it was worth the money. There are several attachments and it is easy to use. – For people with permanent retainers, it gets stuck food out with ease.

    CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE BUYING:
    – It is a bit more noisy than expected, which might be a concern for those who live in tight quarters or with people on different schedules.
    – I have sensitive teeth and I run my AC very cold, which makes water sitting in the basin colder than the ordinary room temperature. I dump out the water and refill it with room temperature/warm water (as recommended by instructions) before each use because of this. It isn’t a ton of extra work, but thought I’d mention it in case others have similar circumstances.

This is so powerful the battery life last really long. It’s so big in size and it holds a lot more water than usual so it makes your flossing longer. It’s easy to handle. The value of the product is well worth it. I will definitely get a next one for future purposes.

The Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser Professional is a high-end water flossing device designed for thorough dental care. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons to help you decide if it’s the right fit for your flossing routine:

    Pros:

Effective Cleaning: The Waterpik Aquarius uses a pulsating water stream to remove plaque and debris from between teeth and below the gum line, potentially improving gum health and reducing gingivitis.
Multiple Settings: With 10 different pressure settings, you can customize the water flossing experience to your comfort level.
Large Reservoir: The 22-ounce reservoir provides up to 90 seconds of uninterrupted flossing, eliminating the need for frequent refilling.
Multiple Tips: The Aquarius comes with seven different flossing tips for various needs, including plaque removal, orthodontic care, and tongue cleaning.
Easy to Use: The on/off switch on the handle and the rotating flossing tip allow for easy maneuvering and use.
Clinically Proven: Waterpik technology is clinically proven to be as effective as string floss for removing plaque and improving gum health.
    Cons:

Countertop Appliance: The Waterpik Aquarius is a countertop unit that requires space in your bathroom. It might not be ideal for those with limited counter space.
Noisy Operation: Some users mention the Waterpik Aquarius can be noisy during operation.
Learning Curve: There might be a slight learning curve to using a water flosser effectively, especially compared to traditional string floss.
Price: The Waterpik Aquarius is on the pricier side compared to some basic water flossers.
    Overall:

The Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser Professional is a powerful and versatile flossing tool with multiple features to customize your dental care routine. However, its size, noise level, and price point are factors to consider.

Here are some additional things to consider before purchasing:

Bathroom Space: If counter space is limited, a smaller water flosser model might be more suitable.
Noise Sensitivity: If you’re bothered by noise, consider reading reviews about the Aquarius’ decibel level.
Flossing Habits: If you already floss regularly with string floss, the benefits of a water flosser might be less significant. However, water flossers can be easier to use for some people and may reach areas string floss misses.
I hope this review helps you decide if the Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser Professional is the right flossing tool for you!

I also have a travel size – much better for travel – but this is best for a leave it at home on a counter design

Instead of the typical travel models, if you need a water flosser for travel, I recommend the rechargeable Panasonic Ion model. It’s a little larger than a handheld, but still very very compact, and much better performing. It is equivalent performance to this cheaper, bulkier Aquarius model that needs to be plugged in to use.

This Aquarius has plenty of power, lots of different tips – probably more than you will ever need

I have found the waterpik water flossers to be more durable than their Panasonic competition

We bought some water flossers after daughter got braces… now the whole family uses them

In the past when I would ask dentists if water flossers improve upon regular flossing or can be used instead of regular floss – they would always be uncomfortable, non-commital, and vague with their answers….

For everyone in our family, after using these for a while, when it came time for our regular dental cleaning, the dental hygienist (DH) remarked how exceptionally well maintained our teeth were with virtually no plaque

When I replied that we were now using water flossers the DH admitted that they are not allowed to say water flossers improve your dental hygiene….. I didn’t press on why… but maybe it is a restriction imposed by their dental association?

That said – you have to use them properly. My daughter was using this with the tip designed for braces. She had great hygiene from the biting surface of her teeth to the braces, but the other half of her teeth, between the gums and braces had lots of plaque. The waterpik is not to blame, my daughter’s sloppy hygiene was. She has now been told she has to focus on the entire surfaces of her teeth. No matter how good the tool, you still have to use it properly.

If you don’t yet have a quality water flosser – get one! The countertop models are powerful enough, if you take care between your teeth to dislodge even stuck pieces of meat, and other things that tend to get caught between teeth. I used to check afterwards with regular floss – and found that handheld less powerful battery travel models, with smaller reservoirs, did less well with food particles wedged between teeth.

The other bonus here, is that like the advertising says, the DH confirmed it’s also great for the health of your gums!

In short I now consider a quality water flosser, together with a good tongue scrape, as essential tools for the best possible daily dental hygiene at home.

If you want to splurge put a little mouthwash into the water in the flosser. Your mouth will feel every bit as clean as if you just came from the dentist !
