After only 9 months, this thing will not turn on anymore. It is under warranty from Waterpik, but their customer service is absolutely a nightmare to deal with. Don’t waste your time. They are slow to respond and each email just brings up a new line of questioning. Most companies would have sent a shipping label to send the unit in for warranty by now. I have been emailing back and forth for a month now with no resolution. They are doing everything they can to not fix or replace this machine. Some excerpts from those emails are below:
1. “Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. Since we know your flosser motor is not turning on, I’d like you to try the following steps listed below.
What could be happening here is the Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) in the bathroom is interfering with the power going to the unit. In order to test this, I would like for you to take the unit into another room, such as a living room or bedroom, where there is no running water. Try plugging the unit into an outlet in one of those rooms and turn on the flosser to see if the motor turns on.
If it does, then purchasing a Single Outlet Surge Protector for the bathroom outlet should resolve this issue in the future. Additionally, we also recommend deep cleaning your unit with a 50/50 solution of warm water and distilled white vinegar. Afterwards, we recommend continuing to clean with a 2:1 ratio of warm water and distilled white vinegar every 1-3 months.
If the step above is unsuccessful, then please let me know so we can look into additional steps. “
2. “Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. I’m sorry your ION isn’t working properly, but I’m happy to help you look into this today.

How often is this machine used?
Do the LED lights illuminate?
If they do, please plug the unit into the charger and describe the light pattern.
Does the machine’s motor turn on?
If there is no motor sound, did it stop during use?
How often do you charge the machine?
How long do you leave it on the charger?
Do you see any discoloration on the charging contacts?
Has the machine ever been used in a shower?
Do you store water in the machine between uses?
What is the color of your machine?
Once I have the information above I will have a better idea on how to assist you.”
3. “Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. I’m sorry to hear that your machine isn’t working properly, but I’d be happy to help you look into this issue.
Based on your answers, it sounds like the machine may not be making a proper connection to the charger. Sometimes moisture can affect this connection. We recommend ensuring this connection is always kept dry when you are connecting the charger.
Ensure your charging cord is connected on a flat surface. Please note a properly charging machine’s LED indicator will glow as it charges. Improper charging may have a rapid, or inconsistent blink.
Please use the following steps to try to return function to your machine.
Unplug the charging cord from the outlet and remove it from the machine.
Dip a cotton swab or clean cloth in white vinegar.
Using the above, please gently clean both the connection on the machine itself, and the connection ports on the charger thoroughly.
After cleaning these connections, please allow these connections to dry completely and re-connect the charger.
The LED light should slowly fade from bright to dim while charging properly.
After the charger ports on both components are cleaned and dry, please charge the machine for a full 4-6 hours.
If the above steps are unsuccessful, then please let me know. If possible, please attach a short video of the machine’s lights while on the charger and when trying to activate the flosser motor.
Once I have a little more information, I’ll have a better idea of where to go from here. I look forward to hearing back from you.

This is a replacement for my previous water pick which was bulkier, black and corded. This one is a pleasant white, takes less space, is very effective with several speeds and because it is cordless (rechargeable) you can move it on either side and so close to the sink that there isn’t any water on the counter.

A year ago I bought a hand held waterpik-style of device which I thought was clumsy to handle and the water tank was inadequate. This real Waterpik solves those problems. It is easy to use with it’s coiled water hose and magnetic storage of the wand. Its footprint is small and rechargeable battery life is excellent. BTW, it really gets the debris out and massages your gums.

I just wish I had realized 20 years ago how great this thing is. My teeth have never felt more clean. I’ve had it for 1.5 years and I have had two issues with it both with the charging system which I think kind of sucks. But, both times I called the company and they resolved it immediately and sent me a brand new machine each time. If I gotten one of these along time ago, I probably would’ve saved $10,000 plus and dental work. Get one now you won’t regret it!

Waterpik works great, cleans my teeth. But it is strong if you have it all the way up. It hurts my gums. My only complaint would be that it is loud.
The wireless is a great feature. It only has to be charged every few weeks.

This water flosser product is cordless which lets me bring it wherever I go. Full water capacity used at max power would last for a minute and a half. The handle vibrates at the first minute which is a convenient reminder that I have thirty seconds left of usage. Full charge of battery last for about 20 uses, and it fully charges in under two hours. I bought this product back in Jul 2022 and its lithium ion battery stopped working today (May 2024). Two years of usage is a great value for money in my opinion. I’m purchasing the same exact product again since it worked great on maintaining my healthy gums.

This product is easy to use and highly effective. I bought this because I have a very sensitive mouth and receding gums and I have to be very careful when I brush my teeth. This product is gentle, but also removes all of the extra food particles that are left there after brushing and even after flossing . It is very hygienic. It comes with multiple tips. I only ever use one tip. It is easy to fill and easy to charge. It has a light indicator when the battery is low. It rarely needs charging even with regular use. The only thing I don’t like about it is that even though I fill it with warm water I have to wait several minutes before it starts to eject warm water. Initially, when turning it on cold water comes out even if the tank is filled with warm water. When it is operating, it is a little noisy which surprised me. I don’t know what I would do without it at this point.

I initially wanted a corded countertop, but with no shaving point in the bathroom, I had to go for this one. And I’m really glad I did. Much smaller footprint, but the water tank is still ample for a 2 minute session.
A fabulous range of tips, including special ones for gum problems, as well as braces & bridges. Only thing that would make them even better is the option of different coloured rings…or some other way of differentiating different family members’ tips. (Not a deal breaker, but a nice-to-have.)
As advised, I started at the lowest setting, but I’m sure I can progress to the recommended setting quickly. Even at #1, my teeth feel cleaner, tho it’s #7 for optimal plaque removal.
Way more effective (& easier!) than floss or interdental brushes. & a big plus for me is the small, slim handle – I just couldnt get on with the huge bulky handles of cordless models with built-in water tanks.
Unlike lots of water flossers, you can also use antibacterial mouth wash, if you follow cleaning instructions.
It’s well worth watching a You Tube video to perfect your technique, especially if you’re unfamiliar with water flossers – I loved Teeth Teacher, who demonstrates the actual Ion model as well as technique. Easy to use when you know how!
Would also recommend reading the manual, especially for how to prime for first use & how to clean (v important if you have hard water.)
Noise level isn’t an issue for me, but doesn’t seem excessive anyway.
Not cheap, but if you want a large water capacity, a well-known brand, a slim handle & easily replaceable tips, this is unbeatable. Delighted & highly recommend!

I like the convenient size and the amount of water the reservoir contains. It comes with a variety of flossing tips that are easily added/removed. The wand is easy to maneuver. The water pressure is adjustable. It holds a charge suitable for several flossings and recharges quickly with the included charger. Easy to clean and it doesn’t take up much space on your countertop. You get a thorough cleaning along with the benefits of massaging your gums.
