This is not a watery toner. It was thicker than I expected. Delightful scent and it comforts my skin. It looks and feels indulgent. I prefer to shake drops in my palm and apply it with my finger. I feel like I use less product this way. Leaves skin soft and refreshed. Just love it!

I wasn’t sure which formula to get, so I went with the one that had been in the beauty product reviews. I notice when I use it I get a slight stinging sensation almost like rubbing alcohol but it fades pretty quickly. The first couple days I used it my skin was warm and redder than normal, but that’s gone away now. When I buy again I’ll pick either the original or the refresh and see if that’s gentler on the my skin.
The beauty blogs recommended either a three layer or a seven layer application. I’ve tried both and the seven layer is way too much, but the three layer works fine. I’ve used it for a month now and apply three thin layers each morning and each night after cleansing and applying my general toner and before I apply my facial oil and serums. Yesterday I tried going with only a single layer and my skin felt dry and tight all day.

I love this product. I have combined this into my morning and evening skincare routine for the last 8 months, and I am only just now running out. I have actually already ordered a second bottle to make sure I don’t miss a day.
I have mature (40+), caucasian dry skin, and this feels wonderfully moisturizing. I started the seven-skin method, and although that was just too much to do in the mornings and evenings, I kept this toner (and application method) in my routine.
Use it as the next step after your cleansing routine. It’s so luxurious you only need 3-4 drops in your hands, and your skin will lap it up as you pat it on. No need for cotton pads that just waste the product, and no need to wipe off. If my skin feels extra dry, I will use it twice.
It is especially nice to use immediately after a bath or shower. We all know how long hot baths and showers are drying for our skin, but who doesn’t love them anyway. I will often cleanse my face in the bathtub and then while soaking I will enjoy a nice facemask. As soon as I rinse off the mask, I will pat a few drops of the Whamisa toner onto my face to lock in all the goodness provided by the face mask, and not lose any essential moisture. At the end of a shower I will pat it on before getting out.
In the mornings I follow up with an anti-oxidant serum, moisturizer and sunblock. In the evenings I follow up with Vitamin C serum, mild Retinol serum (not cream), and a night time moisturizing mask.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE! EWG certified, amazing scent, and moisturizes! My skin has never been smoother. I sometimes just open the bottle and smell it (I’ve never done that before, the scent just makes me happy immediately). There is a reason this product is always sold out. I had to get more and ordered more from whamsia (downside: had to pay shipping). But, this was the best toner I have ever used. Total must buy!

This is thicker than water, but thicker than gel consistency. And if you’re using it for a 7skin method then you might find it sticky. But I don’t mind that.. And the smell is Devine.

Starting with my skin type, I’ve had severe eczema in the past, and now it’s not as bad, but I do get eczema patches every now and then. I was recommended this by a friend who also had eczema and they said the organic makeup and the natural composition of it would definitely help my complexion. I ran out of my previous toner, which was Shiseido Benefiance Enriched Balancing Softener. It had alcohol in it, so it didn’t hydrate as much as I’d liked, but it did fine for my needs. I also use a Rice Ceramide toner from the Face Shop, which is a little more viscous, but still had alcohol in it. My skin HATES me in the winter, or really all year. It’s often parched, and at it’s worst, it gets flaky, especially around my mouth, lips, and the underside of my nose. Because of the my eczema, my skin is super sensitive, and I’m also prone to sebaceous cysts, so I gotta be careful about what I use.
The Whamisa toner came out more viscous than the Rice Ceramide toner, so I could use less to cover the same surface area. It has a slightly peppery, but natural scent, and I’m not a huge fan of pepper, but the smell faded pretty quickly as I patted it into my face. The scent isn’t strong either, but nice because a lot of products for eczema don’t have scent for fear of irritation. It’s tackier than other toners, but it’s because it’s more viscous; it absorbed somewhat slowly but that may have been because I did more than one layer of toner. After fully absorbing, my face was velvety soft almost, and had more plushness or elasticity to it. It was like I gave my face a full pampering. It’s been about two days since, and my face was still softer than usual! After my usual face routine, my face is soft the day of and the morning after I cleanse, but gets drier and a little coarser to feel as the day goes on. My skin was still softer than usual the next night, and even the morning after that! I don’t cleanse everyday because of my dry skin but this definitely had a longer lasting effect with my skin, keeping it soft. I’m touching my cheeks now, and they’re still pretty soft. I also used the Whamisa Nourishing cream with it, and that definitely helped as well, being thicker than my older face creams, TFS White Seed Tone-up Cream and Sebamen facial cream. Hopefully this continues to work well with my skin, I’d love to try other Whamisa products!
