I just used the Zima Go & I’m very pleased it actually works. The device charged quickly after following the very user friendly instructions . My plastic night guard started to look yellow & smelly despite cleaning it every morning. I placed it in the Zima Go, pushed the button & cleaning took 1 minute as stated in instructions. The first time it looked cleaner so I cleaned it 2 more times & it actually looks brand new & now has no odor at all. This could have been a good product but it is simply too small. I am a petite person with a small mouth And I cannot get both of my retainers in the case without stacking them up or bending them. A portion of the interior is taken up by the electronics. Furthermore, the blue light that indicates when the unit is working is a tiny dot on the back of the case and is almost impossible to tell when it’s lit unless you are in a darkened room

This is a nice sleek UV appliance case. I really have found that UV cleaning works well for my night guard. The design of this case is very compact and protects my night guard. I plan to use this UV case for travel because of its compactness and the protection it provides. Even thought I really like this case, I feel the price is a bit high.

I use a hard plastic mouth guard to keep me from grinding my teeth at night. Normally I clean it with denture cleaning tablets, but it’s a bit of a pain to do that when traveling. I thought this might be a good solution.
To test it, I’ve been rinsing the guard with warm water in the morning (seems gross not to do that), and then cleaning it in the Zima. My mouth guard doesn’t smell at all after cleaning, and it seems like it would eventually after only rinsing and no scrubbing or anything for a week, so it does seem like it’s working, but it’s difficult to tell. I’m assuming this is killing bacteria, but not really fully cleaning.
I’d still want to use my cleaning tablets eventually, but this seems like it could be a good solution for travel. The device isn’t too much larger than the case I usually use for my mouth guard, and would be easy to toss in my purse or carry-on bag.
